Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed midfielder Tomas Rosicky is ‘a doubt’ for Saturday’s early kickoff against Chelsea.
‘We have a doubt about Rosicky. He will have a test this morning on his ankle. Apart from that we have no major problem. That issue will be decided after training, everybody else will be available.’ – Arsene Wenger.
The Czech Republic international has been consistent for the Gunners this season – scoring two goals and making one assist in 19 league appearances. Injuries have blighted his career with the Londoners, but this season he’s enjoying his best return in two years.
Rosicky, 33, has featured more heavily in recent weeks, being named in Arsenal’s last four starting XIs. He’s also still playing for his national side, and made his last appearance on the 5th of March in a 2-2 draw against Norwich – of which he played 45 minutes.
With Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere all set to miss out on the title clash against Jose Mourinho’s men, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking likely of starting again in the league.
The Gunners are 15/4 to win away against the Blues, which will greatly boost their chances of taking home the Premier League crown. But it’s a big ask as Arsene Wenger has never beaten Jose Mourinho in the league.
