As if Arsenal do not have enough midfielder players they are now being linked with two more in the shape of England internationals James Milner and Tom Cleverley in various newspapers. Both players are free agents this summer.
Manchester City midfielder Milner is one of the most versatile players in the Premier League. The 29-year-old can play as a full-back, a central midfielder or as a winger.
Milner main strength is that he works hard and has decent pace. Although not considered a technically gifted player, he does create a lot of chances for his team-mates. .......Read more here.....

Yesterday every English newspaper and their dog was claiming that Manchester United were set to make a move for Arsenal centre-back Thomas Vermaelen, who is believed to be frustrated by a lack of first team football at the Emirates.
Vermaelen has just a year left on his contract and it is looking increasingly likely that the Gunners captain will leave this summer.
The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal could be ready to do a swap deal with United involving the Belgium international and United pair Tom Cleverley and Chris Smalling, neither of whom had particular great seasons. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to end speculation over his future by signing a two-year contract extension and then spend big this summer strengthening his squad. The news that Wenger will sign a new contract may not come as a surprise, but Wenger spending big may surprise some Gunners fans.
Mr Wenger is notoriously careful with Arsenal’s money and almost treats the club chequebook like it his own. For most managers that would mean spending big and bringing in expensive new players, not Arsene though. .......Read more here.....
