Arsenal target Thomas Lemar reportedly wants to make a switch from Monaco to the Premier League, which has put both Arsenal and Liverpool on alert, with the former supposedly trying to sign the forward in the summer transfer window as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal were able to battle to an impressive 3-2 win over Crystal Palace in their last game as they displayed their budding resolve. The Gunners were pegged back to 1-1, but they managed to charge into a 3-1 lead, before seeing out the game in a 3-2 win. Arsenal’s fans were once again sent into meltdown over the hugely-promising Thomas Lemar, after the player liked a comment on social media that seems to hint at where his next destination might be.
Arsenal face Newcastle in the Premier League today desperately needing a win to revive their struggling campaign. The Gunners are without a win in three matches, having lost to Manchester United and drawn with Southampton and West Ham.
Their lack of victories has seen the side fall down to seventh in the league with 30 points. While they are only one point short of Tottenham in fourth, Liverpool and Burnley are also vying for fourth, meaning that competition for the last Champions League spot is incredibly high this season. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal battled to a narrow 2-1 win over Swansea on Saturday as they made it two wins from two in the Premier League.
Sam Clucas’ early strike had threatened to once again derail the Gunners, following a defeat to Watford two weeks ago, but Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey were on hand to prevent a loss with two quickfire goals in the second-half.
The result sees them move onto 19 points for the season, level with Chelsea, and just one short of Tottenham in third. Considering Arsenal were in crisis a few weeks ago, things don’t look that bad anymore. .......Read more here.....

According to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger the Gunners will need to pay £60-70million to replace want away forward Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean reportedly came close to a move to Manchester City, only for Arsenal’s lack of replacement to scupper the move.
The forward may leave in January or next summer, but it now seems to be a case of when not if the forward leaves in the next 11 months. Talking about Sanchez, Wenger told BeIN Sports: ‘You take Sanchez into the final year of your contract, you sacrifice £60m-£70m income and then at the end of the season you will have to buy somebody for that amount of money,’ .......Read more here.....

Premier League giants Arsenal ended the summer transfer window with only two new faces arriving at the Emirates – Sead Kolasinac from Schalke and Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
Gunners were linked with a number of players, however, including the talented Frenchman Kylian Mbappe and his former AS Monaco teammate Thomas Lemar among others.
Speaking on the French football programme Telefoot, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed his interest in the pair. According to Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis, keeping Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez this summer is a statement of ambition from the north London club. The pair both have less than 12 months left on their contracts in north London.
In truth, though, Arsenal would have sold Sanchez to Manchester City if they could have signed French winger Thomas Lemar on deadline day.
Gazidis is quoted by the Express as saying: “It was a clear statement of our ambitions and should help refute suggestions we are just about the money. That is simply nonsense.” .......Read more here.....

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger pretty much got used to feeling pressure at Arsenal, but the summer behind almost turned out to be lethal for the French tactician.

For much of deadline day it seemed that Alexis Sanchez could well be heading out of the Emirates exit door. The Gunners where considering a £60million bid for star forward Alexis Sanchez from Manchester City.
However, the north London outfit would only sell the Chilean if they could find a replacement. Relatively late on deadline day the Gunners finally agreed a £92million deal with Monaco for winger Thomas Lemar, who had interested the Gunners for the last few months. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted it’s unlikely the Gunners will make any more notable signings for the first-team given the inflated fee foreign clubs are asking of English sides this summer, reports Football.London.

According to Football.London, Manchester United are keen to sign AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, a player who has been linked all summer with Arsenal. The Gunners have had three bids rejected by the Ligue 1 champions for the 21-year-old, but United may have more luck given they’re able to offer considerable more for his signature than Arsenal.
Arsenal had an initial bid of around £30m-£35m turned down by Monaco, before being equally unsuccessful with a £40m offer. And the Metro reported the Gunners had a £45m bid turned down at the end of July.
