Arsenal v Tottenham Carabao Cup Preview 0

Posted on December 18, 2018 by David Nugent

On Wednesday night, Arsenal host north London rivals Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the last eight of the Carabao Cup.

The Gunners head into this clash on the back of a 3-2 defeat at Southampton that ended their 22-game unbeaten record in all competitions. This competition would not usually be high on the Arsenal priority list. However, the fact that the opponents are Tottenham gives this an extra edge.

Arsenal were defeated finalists in last year’s competition, as they were beaten 3-0 at Wembley by Manchester City. The Gunners will at least be looking to make it to the last four of the competition this season.

Arsenal’s season is starting to wind down in more ways than one, as the club starts to adjust to the idea of life without Arsene Wenger. During their game against Burnley at the weekend, fans all around the ground showed their appreciation for everything that the Frenchman has done over the course of his two-decade-plus tenure with Arsenal. In addition to that, however, many of them probably realised that things are going to look a lot different in a few months time.

Arsenal v Manchester City Premier League Preview 0

Posted on February 28, 2018 by David Nugent

On Thursday night, Arsenal host Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League. The two met last Sunday in the Carabao Cup final, which City won comfortably 3-0.

Arsenal are struggling to keep pace with the top-four, with fourth-place Tottenham now ten points ahead of the Gunners in the race for Champions League spots.

The Gunners head into this game on the back of three defeats in their last four games in all outings. Arsene Wenger’s side have been unconvincing in the Premier League too, winning just two of their last seven games in the English top-flight.
