Struggled at Barcelona

Dembele is regarded as one of the best up and coming young players in the world game. The 21-year-old only joined Barcelona in the summer of 2017 from Dortmund in a deal that could potentially rise to a fee of an eye-watering 130million euros.

According to TalkSPORT guest, former Coventry striker Mickey Quinn, Arsenal are one of three clubs that should attempt to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford along with Chelsea and Liverpool.

Asked about the youngster’s future, Quinn told the radio station: ‘I think he’s gotta go. He’s not a first choice for Jose Mourinho. He is not first choice.

Then asked by presenter Alan Brazil where the striker could go, Quinn continued by saying: ‘Great question. Everyone would take him, wouldn’t they?

‘Arsenal he’s walk in there. [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang is ok but he can play as a three can’t he, like Liverpool’

According to reports from Talksport, Arsenal has opened talks with Watford over the transfer of captain and striker Troy Deeney. When I reported that there was speculation that the Gunners were interested in signing the prolific striker I thought it was just a quiet news day.

However, now it seems there might actually be something in the rumour that the Gunners are interested in signing Deeney. Talksport claim that the Gunners have asked about the striker’s availability and possible price tag.

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal could make a January swoop for former-Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez. The Mexican international has been in top form this season for German club Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 18 goals in his 21 appearances for the club.

Hernandez only joined Bayer in the summer for a reported fee of around £7.3million. The 27-year-old striker has proven a bargain after Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal discarded the diminutive star.

Hernandez prolific exploits for Bayer have raised the interest of a number of clubs, which reportedly include Arsenal, with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger a believed admirer.

According to TalkSport, Arsenal are one of the favourites to sign Napoli full-back Faouzi Ghoulam this summer. The Algerian international is rated at £9million and Sky Italia claims the Gunners are ready to meet the asking price.

The 24-year-old Algerian left-back only joined Napoli last summer from Saint Etienne, but made 38 appearances for Napoli last season under Spanish boss Rafa Benitez and impressed for the Azzurri. Benitez has now left for Spanish giants Real Madrid, which has apparently cast doubts over the future of the full-back.

Arsenal linked with another Porto star 0

Yesterday it was Porto striker Jackson Martinez linked with a move to the Emirates. Today it is highly-rated Porto attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi who is supposedly attracting admiring glances from north London.

Talksport is claiming that the Gunners are interested in signing the Algerian international, but will have to pay a fee of around £40million to sign him.

Brahimi is believed to be a player in-demand this summer, with the likes of Bayern Munich and AC Milan linked with making a move for the star. Porto will be encouraging rumours as it looks like they are willing to part with the midfield, but only for a massive fee.
