Park Chu-Young in Arsenal limbo 2

Posted on September 12, 2013 by Crippy Cooke

Arsenal and South Korea forward Park Chu-Young has been told by his national team manager to exit the London outfit for the sake of his international prospects.

The 28-year old was surprisingly named in Arsenal’s 25-man Premier League squad, but has not featured for the Gunners’ in over a year.

Reports had suggested Park was living in a hotel a couple of weeks ago, and was training away from the first-team in a bid to boost his fitness.

He was expected to be sold this summer, with league compatriots Sunderland and a number of Korean league sides said to be interested in procuring his signature. However, such a deal failed to materialise.
