Back England at 33/1 to Beat Slovenia and Book Russian Visa 0

Posted on October 03, 2017 by Milos Markovic

England are one win away from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Gareth Southgate’s men need three points to secure their place at the showpiece tournament and that’s all the motivation they need ahead of the Thursday’s encounter with Slovenia.

England play Slovenia at home and then travel to Lithuania for the final match in Group F and will be keen to get the job done as soon as possible.

Jack Wilshere impresses for England 0

Arsenal midfield star Jack Wilshere impressed for England in their 3-2 Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia on Sunday. The 23-year-old played in a deep-lying playmaker role for the Three Lions and scored an impressive second half brace.

The midfielder has now been the bright spot in consecutive games for England, after being one of the few positives against the Republic of Ireland in a dull goalless draw. It seems he could now be ready to step-up and be a big influence in the Three Lions team.

Can Welbeck now find his scoring form in the Premier League? 0

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck scored a brace in England’s 3-1 Euro 2016 qualifier victory over Slovenia yesterday. It was the former-Manchester United striker’s fifth goal of the qualification campaign and his second brace after also finding the net twice in the victory over Switzerland.

In fact the striker is now leading scorer in Euro 2016 qualifying, an impressive feat considering the top class talent in the other teams in qualifying.

Hopefully that brace can give the 23-year-old some confidence in front of goal for Arsenal. Like most strikers he is a confidence player. When he is scoring goals then the game seems to come easy, but goals have not come easy for Welbeck at Arsenal since his summer arrival from Manchester United.

Kieran Gibbs set for England start against Slovenia 0

Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs is set to start today’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia at Wembley, in the absence of Everton full-back Leighton Baines, who has been ruled out for up to two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Gibbs will now start the Slovenia game and could also start the friendly game against Scotland on Tuesday night. This double header of games will give Gibbs the chance to stake a claim for a regular starting spot in the team.
