According to a recent report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, there is plenty of interest in Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze when it comes to transfer plans for the summer of 2023.

Chukwueze left his homeland of Nigeria to join Villarreal’s Under-19 side in 2017, and having passed through the club’s “B” side rather quickly, he earned a place in the first-team squad in late 2018. Since then, he’s gone on to represent the Yellow Submarine on 176 occasions, scoring 27 goals and producing 24 assists in all competitions.

According to the Metro, Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze is set to sign for Portuguese giants FC Porto this summer after snubbing interest from Arsenal. The youngster looked set to follow Kelechi Nwakali through the Arsenal door, but has had a change of heart and could be confirmed a Porto player in the coming days.

“Chukwueze is going to FC Porto not Monaco. They are waiting for him to sign the papers but he couldn’t travel because he is with the Flying Eagles. We don’t know the length of contract he will sign until we get to Portugal,” said the Diamond Football Academy president Martin Agupo. Nwakali recently signed a five-year deal with Arsenal, and U17 World Cup winner Chukwueze was supposed to join himat the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal Football Club will soon complete the signing of Nigerian youngster Kelechi Nwakali, according to the player’s brother.

The Gunners scouts were impressed with the talented footballer as he starred for the Super Eagles at the Under-17 World Cup in Chile back in November, where was voted Player of the Tournament.

Arsenal officials appear to have wasted no time in an attempt to lure the 17-year-old to the Emirates as they seem to have beaten Manchester City and Bayern Munich to the player’s signature.

According to reports, the Gunners will pay around £3 million for Diamond Football Academy footballers Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze.
