Richard Garlick, currently the director of football for the Premier League, is set to become Arsenal’s director of football operations, as revealed by David Ornstein for The Athletic.
Garlick is set to leave his present post later this year, which he’s been in since the summer of 2018. He will succeed Huss Fahmy in the job and will be working closely with the club’s technical director Edu.
Prior to entering the world of football, Garlick worked at several law firms, and then he became the director of football administration at West Bromwich Albion. He is now a qualified solicitor specialising in sports law. In his current role, he has been charged with the tasks of overseeing football operations, football relations, youth development, coaching and young player education.
