Reported Arsenal target Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico is set to leave the Dutch club. The 26-year-old Argentinian international has risen to prominence in the last few seasons and looks set for a new challenge next season.

His agent has confirmed Tagliafico is likely to move on

The Metro quoted the player’s agent Ricardo Schlieper as saying ‘Ajax made an offer, but it wasn’t accepted because it’s the right time to take a leap,’

‘Let’s see what happens in the market. ‘There has been no talk of numbers with Ajax, but they will ask for a significant amount – I think it will be more than €20million [£17m].’

Nicolas Tagliafico is a 26 year old defender that plays for Ajax, and is considered to be one of the most underrated full backs in the game today. It’s been no secret over the course of the last few months that he’s entertaining the idea of a move away, and the rumour mill in the media reflects that. One club that have been after his services over the last few months is Arsenal, or at least, that’s what we’ve been led to believe.

The rumour mill is going to be churning out a variety of different names pretty thick and fast over the course of the next eight days or so. That much is to be expected, and we just have to kind of deal with it. However, while we’d usually try and avoid stories that seem outlandish, the name James Rodriguez crossed our desk – and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Arsenal are pondering a big money bid for Bayern Munich playmaker James Rodriguez. The Colombian is currently on-loan at the Bavarian club from Real Madrid.

The German giants have an option to purchase the player on a permanent deal. However, Bayern look unlikely to decide to exercise their right to extend the playmaker’s stay in Bavaria beyond the summer.

The 27-year-old has endured a mixed spell with the German giants. Reportedly, the player wished to open talks with Bayern about his long-term future.

Germany and Manchester City star Leroy Sane recently did a questions and answers session on social media. Inevitably, one of the questions he was asked was the best player he has ever played with. His answer was Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, as the pair played together for the German national side.

Raised a few eyebrows on social media

His answer raised a few eyebrows on social media considering his current company at Manchester City. Maybe people expected the German to name one his Citizens teammate Kevin De Bruyne as the best. He did in fact name City midfielder David Silva alongside Ozil as one of the best players he has ever played alongside.

The veteran boss left Arsenal earlier this summer after 22 years in charge of the Gunners. The Frenchman recently admitted that he might have stayed too long in the capital with the Gunners.

Since announcing that he was leaving Arsenal, Wenger has been linked with a number of high-profile jobs, including at European champions Real Madrid and big-spending French outfit PSG.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are considering re-signing Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer, as current Blues number one Thibaut Courtois looks set for a move to Real Madrid.

The move would seem a strange one, but Cech was only ousted from the Chelsea team due to Courtois being such a promising and highly-rated player.

Cech is a Chelsea hero

The veteran goalkeeper is a true Chelsea hero, having spent 11 years with the Blues before making a move across the capital to join Arsenal in 2015. While he has endured mixed fortunes in north London, Cech enjoyed an incredible career at Stamford Bridge.

Sometimes, and when we say sometimes we mean more often than not, it can be easy to get too carried away with the world of football. Whether it be courtesy of a poor result or a transfer you don’t like, the game can play with our emotions in ways that other things in life just can’t. Because of that, we often need to take ourselves away from the drama and intensity of competitive football with things like this: a legends match between Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Real Madrid star ready to move to Arsenal 0

It seems that Arsenal has made signing a new goalkeeper one of their priorities this summer. Current number one Petr Cech was once a great custodian. However, the Czech star has seen better days and is now looking every bit his 35 years.

The Gunners current number two Colombian international David Ospina has also proven unconvincing at times during his Gunners career. Not many people seem to believe that the former Nice ‘keeper is good enough to be Arsenal’s long-term number one.

Should Arsenal fork out the money for Karim Benzema? 0

Posted on March 30, 2018 by Harry Kettle

It’s starting to look like Arsenal’s attention may be turning towards another French striker – this time by the name of Karim Benzema. The 30-year-old forward has been attracting interest from all over the globe throughout the majority of his career, but now, certain rumours are suggesting that the Gunners are locked in a battle with Liverpool as they attempt to secure his services this summer.

Benzema has always been a striker who people admire, yet is never considered to be in that elite class, which is similar to someone like Gonzalo Higuain. After spending 13 years of his life in his hometown of Lyon, Karim finally made the big switch to La Liga in 2009 in order to turn out for one of the greatest clubs in world football: Real Madrid.
