Ceballos on his time with Arsenal 0

Posted on February 12, 2020 by Veselin Trajkovic

Dani Ceballos, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid on a season-long loan last summer, gave an interview to Spanish newspaper Marca recently and spoke mostly about his time with Arsenal.

It hasn’t been going very well for the midfielder in North London. He started seven of the opening 11 Premier League games and was introduced from the bench in the other four, before suffering a torn muscle bundle which kept him out of action for the following nine. He returned to the bench for the win over Manchester United on New Year’s Day, and he hasn’t played since.

Transfers: Arsenal step up Boateng interest; Arteta adamant Aubameyang isn’t leaving 0

Recent reports credited Arsenal with Bayern Munich’s out-of-favour defender Jerome Boateng. It’s certainly a rumour that makes sense, given Arsenal’s need for a quality centre-back after serious knee injury ruled Calum Chambers out for the rest of the season.

When asked about it, Bayern interim head coach Hansi Flick said he maintains regular contact with the 31-year-old former Germany international, and that departure hasn’t been discussed between them. But on the other hand, Sky Sports believe the Bavarians would be willing to part with the player for as little as €15 million (£12.8m).

Ceballos doesn’t want Madrid return 0

After the failed loan switch of Barcelona’s Denis Suarez and Arsenal’s decision not to trigger the option to buy that had been inserted in that deal, the Gunners closed the deal on similar terms with Real Madrid and brought in Dani Ceballos for 2019/20. The only difference is, that apparently at the request of the player himself, no such option has been included this time as the midfielder had plans to return to Madrid and fight for a place in the Santiago Bernabeu sun.

Arsenal lose penalty shootout to Real Madrid 0

Arsenal’s tour of the United States, in terms of what has happened on the pitch, has been an overwhelming success. The Gunners have been able to string together a series of nice victories, which included a somewhat surprising win over Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. However, they were unable to stay unbeaten as they brought their tour to an end, losing out to Real Madrid in a thoroughly entertaining penalty shootout in Maryland.

Arsenal battle Real Madrid in International Champions Cup 0

Arsenal’s tour of the United States is starting to wind down now, and up to this point, things have gone pretty well. They’ve put together a series of nice wins, which has served as something of a confidence booster for the club. Sure, things could be going a bit better in the summer transfer window, but it still feels like there is some time for the club to rectify any lingering issues that may be present in that department.

Deals for Ceballos and Saliba “close” 0

As reported by Sky Sports, Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal with Real Madrid to sign Dani Ceballos on loan.

Arsenal’s fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in taking the young midfielder to north London on a permanent basis, but apparently, a temporary move to Arsenal suits both Real and the player better. Los Blancos are keen on keeping the prospect of Ceballos playing for them again in the future alive following his excellent displays at the U-21 European Championship this year, while Ceballos feels he would have more first-team opportunities at the Emirates than at Spurs, and he also feels he may yet have a future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The intrigue of Dani Ceballos 0

We’re back with another rumour that is lingering around the Emirates like a bad smell, because you know, it’s transfer window season and that’s just what happens. This one really does seem to be a bit of a stretch, but hey, that’s the way of the game. The ‘rumour’ that we’re referring to links the Gunners to Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is said to be very interested in a move away from the club – but only on loan.

Arsenal in Vazquez talks? 0

Posted on July 05, 2019 by Veselin Trajkovic

Arsenal have reportedly started talking to Real Madrid about the possibility of signing Lucas Vazquez this summer. That is according to AS, who add that the attacker would prefer a move to the Premier League ahead of other top European leagues.

The Spanish giants are prepared to part ways with Vazquez, who has apparently been proclaimed as surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu as they seek to have some money coming in. They have already spent a fortune this summer even in in regards to today’s transfer market, having signed defender Eder Militao from FC Porto, striker Luka Jović from Eintracht Frankfurt, winger Eden Hazard from Chelsea, left-back Ferland Mendy from Olympique Lyon and striker Rodrygo Goes from Santos. It seems Zinedine Zidane doesn’t mess around when it comes to rebuilding their squad on the back of a poor season.

Arsenal go after Marcelo? 0

Posted on July 04, 2019 by Harry Kettle

There are plenty of players that many of us look at and think “yeah, it’d be pretty nice if my team went after them” but it isn’t exactly always a feasible option. As reported by Sport, one of those ‘out there’ suggestions could actually soon become a reality for Arsenal Football Club, with reports suggesting that they are interested in going after Real Madrid sensation Marcelo.

Could it be?

Marcelo had been heavily linked with a move away to Juventus in past months, to the point where many Real fans had already come to terms with him leaving after over a decade at the club. Alas, it seems as if the return of Zinedine Zidane changed his mind, but only for a brief period of time.

Could James Rodriguez be a good signing for Arsenal? 0

Posted on May 27, 2019 by David Nugent

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are amongst a plethora of clubs interested in signing Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez this summer.

The 27-year-old has spent the last few seasons on loan at German giants Bayern Munich from Real Madrid. Bayern have the option of making his deal a permanent one for £37million, but the report claims that the Colombian does not want to make his stay in Bavaria a permanent one.
