Arsenal are set to face Ukranian side Vorskla at the Emirates in their first European game of the season on Thursday evening, and manager Unai Emery spoke to the press ahead of the clash.

Although, like every season, Arsenal play in four competitions, the best 11 players will take to the pitch as the manager believes it’s all about improving both tactically and individually at this point. Arsenal play away to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon, and as usual, manager Unai Emery held a press conference yesterday where spoke about the upcoming game, but he also addressed a few issues which could go under the ‘general current affairs’ category.
Return from international duty
The manager revealed that four players – Granit Xhaka, Stephan Lichsteiner, Danny Welbeck and Sokratis Papastathopoulos had only just returned to camp and that they need to work now to prepare for Saturday, having played for their national teams as recently as Tuesday. .......Read more here.....

Unai Emery spoke to the press earlier today (Friday), focussing on the upcoming game away to Cardiff City on Sunday.
Asked about the progress that was clearly noted by the media in the West Ham win, the Arsenal manager agreed the team is making progress. He revealed that he liked what he was seeing in the last 20 minutes, but also that there were moments in the game when his players lost control for a while. Arsenal were beaten by 2-1 at St. James’ Park last weekend, and as they prepare to take on West Ham on Sunday at the Emirates, manager Arsene Wenger provided a few updates.
The first point on the agenda was the fitness situation in the team. The manager revealed that goalkeeper David Ospina is back, Henrikh Mkhitaryan isn’t yet, and Jack Wilshere is a doubt due to an ankle issue. Arsenal play the second leg of their Europa League clash against AC Milan on Thursday. They have a strong lead that shouldn’t prove too difficult to preserve and possibly add to at the Emirates, in order to secure passage into the quarterfinals. But given recent experiences, Arsene Wenger’s men will have to be on top of their game again to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Speaking to the press ahead of the match, Wenger gave some updates on players’ fitness issues, as well as some information regarding their contracts situations.
