Arsenal are set to resume the Premier League season when they take on Newcastle United at the Emirates on Sunday, following the winter break which reportedly did the team a lot of good. Be that as it may, head coach Mikel Arteta spoke to the press ahead of the game and provided some updates on the situation with injured players.
Left-back Kieran Tierney, who hurt his shoulder by falling awkwardly in the West Ham clash back in December, has been ruled out and will likely need a few weeks more. It was confirmed that he was back in training in Dubai, but it was restricted to strictly non-contact work which obviously means his shoulder is still too sensitive for him to play. .......Read more here.....

Newcastle United are interested in taking Granit Xhaka on loan in January help him stay in the Premier League if that is his wish, according to The Telegraph.
The now former Arsenal captain has been linked rather heavily with AC Milan recently, with the Rossoneri apparently keen on signing either him or Lucas Torreira. However, it is believed that the Magpies boss Steve Bruce is also interested and is keeping an eye on the situation. Further more, it has been implied to him that there may be a chance for the Swiss international to actually move to the St. James Park. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal finally opened their Premier League campaign up last night, as they went toe to toe with Newcastle United. The Gunners were expected to get a win over the Magpies given how both teams performed during the summer transfer window, but there was also the fear from many fans that they would drop points in a game that they really should’ve been cruising to victory in. As it turned out, Arsenal did get the win, but it wasn’t all that easy – from the perspective of the scoreline, that is. .......Read more here.....

The Premier League season got underway last night, with Liverpool looking about as good as everyone expected them to look against Norwich City. The Canaries put up a bit of a fight in the second half and even managed to score, but in the end, the Reds were just far too powerful for them – and it showed. Of course, that’s got nothing to do with the Gunners, who are set to dive headfirst into EPL action tomorrow afternoon when they travel north to take on Newcastle United. .......Read more here.....

The Premier League fixture list for 2018/19 has been officially released, and that means one thing: it’s time to get excited. The Premier League is considered by many to be the premier form of football entertainment throughout the domestic game, and in truth, it’s kind of difficult to argue with that thought process.
Of course, one of the primary reasons we believe that is because of Arsenal, despite how much they’ve let us down over the course of the last few months. The Gunners will be returning to Premier League action in August, which in itself is a pretty exciting prospect. After reading through every single fixture on the list we’ve decided to pick out some of the most important dates, so that you can remember to skip your own wedding in order to get to Sheffield United away. We’re only partly joking. .......Read more here.....

City of Manchester Stadium – 55,017
They call it a tinpot ground and while we’d like to give City fans the benefit of the doubt, we just can’t. It feels a little bit soulless there and bizarrely enough, that was also the case before they were even taken over. Perhaps it was a foreshadowing of some sort.
Anfield – 54,074
It’s not in a great area and the stadium itself isn’t all that impressive, but the atmosphere, especially on European nights, makes you forget about all of that. It’s just a really special place to watch a game of football and the only people you’ll find to disagree with that probably spend their days at Old Trafford or Goodison. .......Read more here.....

Games are played across every single day of the week (most of the time) in the Premier League throughout any given season. Teams often can’t control when or where they are going to play on any given week, and that’s just the way it is. However, sometimes, you’re forced to play on a day that is bound to cause some kind of ridicule one way or another. Case in point: in their next game Arsenal will take on Newcastle United, and it will happen on April 1st, 2019. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal play away to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon, and as usual, manager Unai Emery held a press conference yesterday where spoke about the upcoming game, but he also addressed a few issues which could go under the ‘general current affairs’ category.
Return from international duty
The manager revealed that four players – Granit Xhaka, Stephan Lichsteiner, Danny Welbeck and Sokratis Papastathopoulos had only just returned to camp and that they need to work now to prepare for Saturday, having played for their national teams as recently as Tuesday. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend when they go head to head with Newcastle United, in a game that intrigues us in more ways than one. The Gunners are riding a two game win streak whereas the Magpies are in desperate need of a big win to get them out of their current slump. Of course, a lot of the focus for them at the moment is based on what’s happening off the pitch, but that’s another story for another day. .......Read more here.....

It’s time to take another trip down memory lane and for this entry, we aren’t going all too far into the past with a look at Arsenal’s game against Newcastle United three years ago. At this point the ‘Wenger Out’ chants weren’t quite as loud as they’d get in a few months time, but still, they were pretty notable. The Gunners had an uneven start to the season with one win, one draw and one loss, and while Newcastle certainly posed a threat to them, it was seen as a very winnable fixture. .......Read more here.....
