Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta recently admitted the squad under his command was ‘short’, and speaking to the press ahead of the Wolverhampton Wanderers clash on Saturday evening at the Molineux, he repeated the stance that the club would be in the transfer market in January for reinforcement, should the right players become available.

According to recent reports, the positions the boss aims to add depth to are attacking flanks and centre midfield.

Nabil Fekir – yes, no, maybe so? 0

The Zaha saga is probably going to be ongoing for quite some time now, and we all need to prepare ourselves for that. While we would all love nothing more than for it to be resolved sooner rather than later, the truth is that we could easily make it all the way through to August without really knowing – one way or another – whether or not he’s heading for the Emirates.

It’s starting to look like Liverpool are on the verge of signing Nabil Fekir, and when we say it’s starting to look like, we mean that it’s pretty much done. The 24-year-old Frenchman has been in the headlines ever since the summer transfer window officially opened, and it’s no secret that there were a handful of teams who were interested in acquiring his services.

The guy was always going to be a hot commodity given how fast his rise up through the ranks has been, but few could’ve anticipated that he’d be sold for figures over £50 million. Still, it’s going to be a great move for the development of his young career, and many fans will be excited to see him in action in the Premier League.

Arsenal reportedly chasing more attacking talent 0

Arsenal are reportedly looking to add even more attacking talent to their ranks despite bringing in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window.

Arsenal fell to a hugely damaging defeat at the hands of Tottenham last weekend as their Premier League campaign took a major blow.

Harry Kane was once again the hero for Tottenham as he scored the only goal of the game which meant he was able to outshine Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The loss was the Gunners’ eighth of the season, and it now means they are seven points short of Tottenham in fifth, while they are eight behind Chelsea in fourth-place.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have made Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir their number one transfer target for the summer. The newspaper claims that the Gunners are looking to conclude a deal worth £45million before this summer’s World Cup.

The French club understandably do not want to sell their star forward. However, it seems the right offer could well persuade OL to sell Fekir in the summer.

Arsenal target Nabil Fekir has admitted that he dreams of playing for a big Premier League club, which has put the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal on high-alert, with the latter reportedly a long time admirer of the young French forward.

Arsenal were forced to grind out a 1-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday as they finally got back to winning ways. Their loss to Manchester United and subsequent draws with Southampton and West Ham had threatened to derail the London side’s campaign, but the victory has gotten them back on the right track.

Arsenal have been in fine form recently as they have climbed up the table in impressive fashion in recent weeks. What is equally impressive is their apparent dealings in the transfer window, with one deal in particular catching the imagination of the fans.

Arsenal have embarked on a decent run of form of late as they have claimed two very impressive wins in a row. First, they were able to brush Tottenham aside, with their arch-rivals no match for the Gunners on the day.

It’s been another eventful weekend for Arsenal fans as far as transfer rumours are concerned.

Arsene Wenger has already started preparing his winter transfer strategy which – by the looks of it – could include one or two potentially big-name arrivals.

British media have put a new spin on the whole Nabil Fekir story we detailed last week, claiming that Gunners are prepared to invest up to £60 million to land the in-form 24-year-old Lyon playmaker, who is seen as a direct replacement for Mesut Ozil.

The German international is only one of the number of players who could leave Emirates this winter.

It’s not an old piece of news but the transfer rumour mill has once again picked up on a lead that Lyon star Nabil Fekir could be on his way to London.

Arsene Wenger is said to be back in the race to sign the 24-year-old versatile attacking midfielder who can fill in various roles up in the final third.

Fekir has made a scintillating start to the new season in France with Lyon and already has 12 goals on his tally in merely 15 games. Having emerged as one of the most lethal players in the French top flight, Fekir has turned plenty of heads, including Arsene Wenger’s.

According to the Metro, Arsenal are set to raid Ligue One to strengthen their squad this summer, with Monaco centre-back Aymen Abdennour and Lyon winger Nabil Fekir the reported transfer targets.

Breakthrough

Young French wing Fekir has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with French club Lyon this season, making 31 appearances and scoring 14 goals for the French side in all competitions. The youngster also has nine assists this season.

His performances have reportedly attracted the attention of a number of clubs and have led to him being called-up to the French national squad.
