Arsenal knew they were in for a tough game yesterday, but they probably didn’t expect to have quite so many issues throughout the pitch. One man who had a less than stellar day was Matteo Guendouzi, who seems to still be finding his feet as an Arsenal player. In the wake of the result, the man himself gave his thoughts on what transpired and why he decided to take Wilfried Zaha down when he did.
On settling for the point:
We really wanted to win the game so we attacked a lot towards the end to get the third goal. We allowed spaces [for Palace on the break] but it’s because we really wanted to win. .......Read more here.....

Nothing succeeds like success, goes the well-known proverb, but a bit of faith and encouragement from one’s manager can’t harm one either. Guendouzi says that talking to Emery about his role within the club was vital, as the coach told him he would have a key role this season. Thus far Arsenal’s midfielder has played in all four Premier League matches from start to end, with the exception of the one against Liverpool, when he was substituted by Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 86th minute of the match. .......Read more here.....

When Lacazette is playing at the top of his game, he’s one of the best strikers in the Premier League and it really is that simple. The Frenchman gives 110% every time he’s out there, and hopefully, he’s still got enough confidence to take him through a full season in the Premier League.
There have been too many near misses and too many mistakes to warrant keeping him at the club. Mesut Ozil has been a controversial figure in the last few years, and getting rid of him now would be a massive statement – but in a good way. Arsenal need the best of the best within their ranks, and this man doesn’t fit into that category in 2019. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are set to offer young French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi a new contract worth around £75,000 per week, which would double his salary in north London.
The youngster has made a promising start to his Gunners career after a move to the Gunners from homeland club Lorient for a fee of around £7million plus bonuses.
This is a strange move
I have to say I don’t understand why the Gunners are handing him a new contract so soon after joining. The youngster still has three years on his current contract to run, so why double his wages? .......Read more here.....

You can find motivation for the beautiful game in a lot of different places, especially if you’re playing at the highest level. Sometimes it may be difficult to motivate yourself to push that extra mile, given that you’re probably earning millions and millions every single year, but a part of us likes to believe that not all footballers are so heavily focused on their finances. That may just be us being a little bit naive, and we’re prepared to admit that. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal’s young French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi arrived in North London from French club Lorient in the summer. The youngster arrived for a modest fee of around £7million plus add-ons, which by modern standards is chicken feed.
Although apparently highly-rated in football circles, Guendouzi was not exactly a household name prior to arrival in north London. Most Arsenal fans would have been forgiven for not knowing anything about the midfielder.
