Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes the Gunners have a lot left to fight for this season.
For those of you who don’t remember, Keown started his professional career with Arsenal back in 1984, being 18 years old. Two years later he was sold to Aston Villa, and later to Everton. He returned to the club in 1993 and remained here for 11 years, making a total of 310 appearances and winning 10 major trophies in the Arsenal shirt in all competitions in that time. He was a no-nonsense sort of centre-back, very strong physically, who often left opposing attackers bruised and in pain. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says he will not let their last year’s result against Liverpool get to him and the team.
The two clubs last met in December 2018. Although Ainsley Maitland-Niles provided Arsenal with an initial lead during the eleventh minute of the game, that goal was followed by two of Firmino’s, one of Mane’s, Salah’s penalty goal and finally the completion of Firmino’s hat-trick, which resulted in Arsenal’s devastating 5-1 defeat.
Emery thinks that each season is different and that looking at and comparing this one to that one, two, three or more years ago is not the right thing to do, but rather to be and play at this moment. .......Read more here.....

Former-Arsenal defender Martin Keown has claimed that Jack Wilshere is as good as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, while he has told Arsene Wenger to build a team around the English-midfielder, who has been a standout player for the club in recent weeks.

Former-Arsenal legend Martin Keown has praised youngster Reiss Nelson after his performance in the Europa League clash with Cologne on Thursday evening. Despite the 1-0 loss, Keown clearly sees the player’s performance as a huge positive to come from the game.
It was not Arsenal’s night in Germany as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Cologne via a Sehrou Guirassy penalty. The scoreline was a disappointing one, but it did not stop Arsenal from securing their place in the knock-out stages of the tournament, although it did end their run of unbeaten games in the competition. .......Read more here.....

Former-Arsenal defender Martin Keown has urged manager Arsene Wenger to utilise Jack Wilshere and Alexandre Laczaette following the team’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal could not achieve the seemingly impossible on Sunday as they fell to Manchester City. The Premier League leaders were once again in top form creatively, but Arsenal were spared a hammering as Pep Guardiola’s men were uncharacteristically poor in front of goal.
Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus scored the goals for City, and Arsenal could only reply via a drilled effort from Alexandre Lacazette. While the defeat was hardly an embarrassing one, it leaves the Gunners teetering on the edge of yet another season without a Premier League title. .......Read more here.....

According to former Arsenal defender Martin Keown, Gunners German playmaker Mesut Ozil has already left the club in some ways.
Keown told Radio Five Live Via the Metro: ‘I think he’s testing Wenger more than any other player has,’
‘I think it was Belarus the other week, he didn’t fancy going. He didn’t want to go. ‘Suddenly he was injured again, he played nine minutes against West Bromwich Albion on the Monday, so how did he get injured there?
‘I think in some departments he’s already left. Psychologically, mentally, he’s already left the football club. Maybe Wenger is now trying to do the best deal he can to get some compensation for him.’ .......Read more here.....

Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes the Gunners’ 1-0 defeat away to Stoke City is exactly why they won’t win the Premier League title this season. The Londoners travelled to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday evening, but put in a disjointed performance with a makeshift side and suffered their first league defeat just two games into the new season.
The 51-year-old said on BT Sport: “Arsenal were loose in the midfield. They’ve just gone through the Arsenal defence so easily. They really didn’t create enough, not enough opportunities. It’s a disappointing afternoon for Arsenal so early in the season. They have aspirations to win the league, they didn’t look like champions to me today,” reports the Express. .......Read more here.....
