According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Marseille central midfielder Morgan Sanson, as Gunners boss Unai Emery attempts to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.

However, it seems that Arsenal are not the only club in north London eying the France under-21 international, as Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Sanson.

Agent confirms interest from north London giants

Sanson’s agent Michael Manuelle has confirmed that both clubs are interested in signing the 23-year-old midfielder. Manuelle told Foot Mercato: “Tottenham really follow Morgan, Arsenal follow him too”.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is attracting plenty of interest across the British Isles and continental Europe as England international’s future at the Emirates still hangs by a thread.

Wilshere revealed he would be willing to remain at Arsenal but admits he has yet to receive a new contract offer from the Gunners.

“I definitely want to be here. I want to help Arsenal get to where they should be. We just have to sort things out and I’m sure that will happen in the next couple of weeks and it will be sorted.”, said Wilshere.

Arsenal’s squad currently has a bit of dead wood lying around. These players never were and never will be good enough for where the Gunners want to be. One of these players is French full-back Mathieu Debuchy.

According to TalkSPORT and L’Equipe, Arsenal may well be about to offload the full-back to French club Marseille. The Ligue One club are reportedly interested in signing the 32-year-old on a free transfer, although the defender still has two years left on his contract.

Never good enough for Arsenal

Serie A fallen giants AC Milan have reportedly set their sights on Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.

The Daily Mirror understands that the Italian heavyweights look to continue the rebuilding process by adding experience and quality to their back line and Laurent Koscielny has been identified as one of the top summer transfer targets.

The 31-year-old has been already linked with a return to France as Marseille expressed interest in the experienced Gunners star. Koscielny suggested Marseille move could be hard to resist in the future, given the fact he was a Marseille fan in his young days.

Wenger says Giroud is still vital to Arsenal 0

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has played down talk of Olivier Giroud leaving the club this summer and says the centre-forward is vital ahead of the new season. Giroud, who admitted frustration at a lack of playing time in 2016/17, has been linked with West Ham United and Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseilles in recent weeks, but Wenger said he’s not leaving.

“It has been a frustrating season for him because he has not played a lot. And when he has played well, he has not always played the next match. He has won us a lot of points when he has come on because he has scored lots of times. He has qualities that our team need,” revealed the Arsenal manager, as quoted by the Mirror.

Premier League outfit Arsenal could end up losing more players than they would have expected this summer.

Much of the Arsenal-related transfer stories revolved around futures of star player Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, who are yet to put pen to paper on new deals with the Gunners. The former has been a particularly hot transfer topic with Bayern Munich reportedly willing to go as high as €100 million for the Chilean star.

However, a couple of more players such as David Ospina, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud have also made headlines with speculation about their potential moves away from Emirates.

It’s as if Arsenal fans are in mood for more bad news following a comprehensive defeat at White Hart Lane, but there are growing reports that captain Laurent Koscielny could leave Emirates at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old defender has been one of the most reliable performers for Arsene Wenger’s side this season, during which he made 30 Premier League performances and another eight in the Champions League.

The experienced French international could end up leaving the north London side, however, after another season of failed expectations and constant failure to capture a league title.

Arsenal talking to Dimitri Payet representatives 1

According to the Metro (yes, I know!), Arsenal have held talks with the representatives of West Ham playmaker Dimitri Payet to establish if the French star would be interested in moving to the Emirates Stadium.

The same report suggests Manchester United have also made similar enquiries about Payet’s availability, although Payet moving to another Premier League club seems unlikely.

Payet is homesick in London

Payet being spotted in an Arsenal or United shirt anytime soon looks highly unlucky at the moment. The 29-year-old recently told West Ham that he wanted to leave and would not play for the Hammers again.

Arsenal linked with Belgian striker 0

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are interested in signing Marseille’s Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi, who is rated in the £22million bracket by the Ligue One club.

The 21-year-old has scored three times in five Ligue One appearances this season, after finding the net seven times in the French top-flight last season following a move to France from Standard Liege in the summer of 2014.

Despite his tender years, Batshuayi has made over 150 appearances in his career already, with the majority of those appearances coming at former-club Standard Liege, where he had a record of scoring once in every three games.

Arsenal goalkeeper linked with Marseille 0

According to the Metro, French Ligue One side Marseille are set to make a move for Arsenal ‘keeper David Ospina. The Colombian international is currently at the Copa America with his national side, but is expected to hold talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger when he returns to England.

Ospina’s exit now looks inevitable, with Chelsea’s Petr Cech expected to arrive at the Emirates in the next couple of days. Cech will be the Arsenal’s number one, so Ospina would be very more than a back-up for the Czech Republic international.
