Arsenal midfielder has told Sky Sports that he is unsure about his future with the north London club and stated his agent is still in discussions with the Gunners over a deal.

Asked about talks over a Ramsey told Sky Sports: “We’ll see what happens, but my agent and the club are talking,”

“I’m not sure exactly what it hinges on, I’m just leaving it to them to discuss and to figure it out but we are yet to come to an agreement.

“That’s something that my agent and the club are discussing to try and get something done.”

According to the Express, Arsenal are attempting to negotiate a fee with Sevilla for France international midfielder Steven Nzonzi. The 29-year-old has a release clause of around £35.7million in his contract.

However, the Gunners are not prepared to meet the clause, but the Andalusians director of football Joaquin Caparros has stated that he will only be sold if Nzonzi’s suitors meet the clause.

Would definitely add to midfield options

Steven Nzonzi would certainly add to the Gunners central midfield options. The former Blackburn star has matured into a fine defensive midfielder during his time in Andalusia.

According to reports from Sky Sports, Arsenal are still in negotiations with Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey over a new deal. The 27-year-old has just one year left on his current contract with the North London club.

Spanish boss Unai Emery is understandably keen for the Gunners to tie down the midfielder on a long-term contract. The Spaniard has stated that Ramsey is an important player to the club.

Arsenal has previous with this sort of situation

Arsenal has a long history of players leaving their contract to expire or run to the last few months so that they get a bigger packet at Arsenal, or move on in a cut-price deal.

Gunners once again linked with Barcelona star 0

According to the Express and reports from France, Arsenal are once again showing an interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes. According to a French media outlet, the Gunners are trying to negotiate a deal for the central midfielder.

Does Arsenal need Gomes?

However, with a limited transfer budget, a move for Gomes would not make sense. The Gunners have already strengthened in the centre of midfield with the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira.

For me, Torreira far better represents the type of midfielder Arsenal need. They needed a talented ball-winner, who has excellent passing ability. If given a choice between Torreira and Gomes, I would prefer the South American star.

Reported Arsenal target completes shock move to Fulham 0

Reportedly, Arsenal target Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri has completed a shock move to Premier League new boys Fulham from Nice for a fee reported to be in the region of £18million.

Seri had been continually linked with a move to both Arsenal and Chelsea. Both London giants were linked with £35million bids for the midfielder last summer. However, the midfielder has now joined Fulham for a much smaller fee than mooted in the past.

Arsenal must be happy with their midfield options

It seems that Arsenal are satisfied with their midfield options. The Gunners already had the likes of Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed Elneny available to new boss Unai Emery before the summer transfer window opened.

Arsenal have confirmed that Lucas Torreira will join the club from Sampdoria, though they stress that the deal is still subject to regulatory processes.

After a relatively long saga, it’s officially confirmed that the Uruguay international will be a part of Arsenal’s new-look team under Unai Emery. Having spent four seasons in Serie A, two with Pescara (42 appearances, six goals) and two with Sampdoria (74, 4), Torreira is ready to taste the challenges of playing in the Premier League.

Following a long-running saga that has been stretched out over the course of the last few months, it seems as if Lucas Torreira’s journey to the Premier League could finally be nearing its end as he prepares to travel over to London in order to finalise his deal with Arsenal Football Club. The 22-year-old, who has played for Sampdoria since 2015, has been viewed as a hot commodity for a while now, with his time at the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Uruguay doing nothing to harm that.

According to the Daily Star, Sampdoria and Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira is expected to have a medical with the club next week ahead of a move reportedly worth £26.5million.

Torreira has long been linked with a move to North London. In fact, it has recently been revealed that he could have had a medical with Arsenal before the World Cup or even during the tournament.

However, understandably the midfielder wanted to concentrate on the World Cup, which his national side exited at the quarter-finals stage on Friday.

Arsenal have apparently opened the talks with Sevilla over the possibility of Steven N’Zonzi moving to North London, Sky Sports have reported as per their own sources.

N’Zonzi began his professional career in the French League 2 with Amiens in 2007. After spending two years there, he moved to England where he played three seasons apiece with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City. In 2015 he was spotted and taken to Spain by the Sevilla manager at the time – Unai Emery. They worked together for a year before Emery made the switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the Independent, Arsenal could be set to make a bid of around £30million for Barcelona central midfielder Andre Gomes this summer. New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly a big fan of the former Valencia star and is prepared to sell players in order to buy Gomes.

Limited transfer budget

The Gunners are reportedly working on a tight budget this summer, as they attempt to strengthen the squad for next season. The north London club has already signed goalkeeper Bernd Leno, as well as defenders Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos this summer.
