Arsenal could press ahead with a move for Argentinian defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia this summer according to the Metro. The 29-year-old is currently plying his trade in Serie A with Lazio and is reportedly available for £18million in the summer.
According to reports from Italy, Biglia’s agent has made an agreement with Lazio that his client will be allowed to leave the eternal city if any club comes in with a bid of £18million. That seems a lot of money for a player of his age.

Former Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia has snubbed English interest and has instead signed for Serie A side SS Lazio. The Argentine international has signed a five-year deal with the Italian outfit.
‘I’m really happy, everything has been defined. Finally I can stay with my new team-mates. I thank Lazio for signing me and taking me to Italy, and to have given me this opportunity.’

Arsenal’s target Lucas Biglia seems to be a bit further from a move to the Emirates Stadium then firstly believed, as the Argentine international has admitted the fact that no big clubs are willing to meet his €8million transfer fee at the moment.
Biglia has been watched by Arsene Wenger for a while, but with the Frenchman forced to bring in big names now after losign Robin and Song, Sahin seems much more likely to join.

Anderlecht defensive midfielder, Lucas Biglia, has told Portugese magazine “A Bola” that he wants a move to Spain. This is bad news for Arsene Wenger who was hoping he could sign the highly-rated 26 year-old Argentinian International.
Biglia and the Belgian club have agreed that he will be moving on in the summer after six seasons. Arsenal and Liverpool were keen to sign the ball winner and playmaker but his interview left no doubt where he hopes to be heading.

We know that Arsenal are in desperate need of a quality defensive midfielder next season. One of the main targets for Arsene Wenger is Anderlecht’s Argentinian international Lucas Biglia. Now, however it is rumoured that Real Madrid have joined Liverpool, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain as competition for his signature.
Biglia, at 26 years old, has played for the Belgian club since 2006 and is reported to be ready for a move. He has played for Argentina’s under 17’s and under 20’s and has six caps for the full national team.
