Arsenal reportedly target Nice starlet 0

According to Le Sport, via the Metro, Arsenal could make a move for Nice’s talented young central midfielder Vincent Koziello. The 20-year-old star has impressed for Nice, who have enjoyed a stellar start to their Ligue One campaign and currently sit top of the French top-flight.

The Metro claims that Koziello is being lined up for a move to north London next summer with Santi Cazorla’s contract set to expire. It seems unlikely that Arsenal would attempt to replace such an influential player with such a young untried talent.

Could Arsenal be about to sign a new striker? 1

According to reports from France, Arsenal are interested in signing Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder. The 25-year-old is not exactly the high-profile striker Arsenal fans were hoping for this summer.

The Gunners had been linked with the likes Gonzalo Higuain and Alexander Lacazette amongst other forwards this summer.

However, Higuain moved to Italian champions Juventus on Tuesday in a £75.3million deal, while reports persist that the Gunners are still interested in signing Lacazette, whose club Lyon are understandably unwilling to sell the striker.

Who is Wissam Ben Yedder?

Would Alexandre Lacazette be a good signing for Arsenal? 0

According to the Daily Mail, Lyon have turned down a £31million offer from West Ham for highly-rated striker Alexandre Lacazette. The 24-year-old was linked with a move to the Gunners earlier in his career, but a move failed to materialise.

After yet another prolific campaign for Lyon, maybe the Gunners should renew their interest in the 24-year-old striker.

Prolific once again for Lyon

The striker has been in the goals again this season, scoring 23 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions. His scoring exploits may have been as good as last season when he scored 31 goals in all competitions, but the striker has shown consistently over the past few seasons he knows where the net is and does not need a SAT NAV to find it.

Would Zlatan Ibrahimovic be a good signing for Arsenal? 0

Something struck me as I watched Zlatan Ibrahimovic score against Chelsea in the Champions League and it was not the remote control because my other half wanted to watch the soaps.

The veteran Swedish striker could be an ideal short-term signing for Arsenal. Ibrahimovic is likely to be a free agent this summer when his contract with PSG expires. It seems like an un-Arsene Wenger signing, but you just never know in football.

Turned down ‘an audition at Arsenal’

In the earlier years of his career the Swede, as the story goes was offered a trial at Arsenal, to which the reply was reportedly ‘No way, Zlatan doesn’t do auditions’.

Arsenal linked with double forward swoop 0

Arsenal is being linked with moves for PSG winger Lucas Moura and Inter striker Marco Icardi in January. Both players are highly-rated and both would be expensive signings for the Gunners.

French news outlet BuzzSport is claiming that Arsenal is set to launch a £30million-plus bid for Brazilian international star Moura in winter transfer window. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has stated he is not the biggest fan of the January transfer window, so for him to spend that sort of money would be extraordinary.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are interested in signing Marseille’s Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi, who is rated in the £22million bracket by the Ligue One club.

The 21-year-old has scored three times in five Ligue One appearances this season, after finding the net seven times in the French top-flight last season following a move to France from Standard Liege in the summer of 2014.

Despite his tender years, Batshuayi has made over 150 appearances in his career already, with the majority of those appearances coming at former-club Standard Liege, where he had a record of scoring once in every three games.

Gunners linked with bid for PSG striker 0

According to the Metro and reports from Spain, Arsenal could be set to renew their interest in PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic next summer, with rumours that the 33-year-old is set to leave the French capital next summer.

The mercurial Swede will turn 34 in October, but is still highly-rated throughout world football. He has scored 106 goals in 126 appearances for PSG and was prolific at the likes of Inter, Ajax, AC Milan and Juventus prior to his move to Ligue One.

Arsenal linked with Edinson Cavani bid (again) 0

According to the Daily Express and reports in Spain, Arsenal could renew their interest in PSG striker Edinson Cavani, who the Parisians may allow to leave in the January transfer window.

The Gunners were continually linked with a move for the Uruguayan international in the summer, as Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was reportedly looking to sign a top-class striker.

Cavani recently scored a brace in a win over Ligue One title rivals Monaco and is regarded as one of the best out-and-out number nines in the world game. PSG reportedly rated Cavani in the region of £45million, which seems like a fee that Wenger would not be willing to splash out.

Should Arsenal make a swoop for Monaco star? 1

According to L’Equipe and the Daily Express, Monaco have turned down a bid of around £12.9million from Ligue One rivals PSG for reported Arsenal target Layvin Kurzawa.

The 22-year-old is highly-rated and is believed to be a transfer target of both the Gunners and Premier League rivals Manchester United. Monaco value the 22-year-old at £18million and will only listen to exceptional options for the left-back.

Monaco are second favourites to win the French Ligue One title at odds of 11/1 this season, but noises coming out of France suggest Kurzawa is looking for a move to a bigger club this summer.

Would Alexandre Lacazette be a good signing for Arsenal? 0

According to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal have been offered Lyon’s highly-rated striker Alexandre Lacazette for a fee in the region of £21million. The France international looks a steal at that price, as he is now regarded as one of best out-and-out number nines in European football.

Lacazette’s agent David Venditelli has held talks with his French Ligue One club over a new deal for the striker, but it seems that Lyon cannot compete with the financial packages available at clubs in the bigger European leagues, although the striker still has three-years to run on his current contract with Lyon.
