In a rather strange move, Arsenal and France striker Alexandre Lacazette has taken a dig at Premier League crowds, stating that he missed the Ligue One crowds, as they were better than their English counterparts.
The striker is quoted by the Evening Standard as saying: “I miss Ligue 1’s atmosphere. In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters. There’s a better atmosphere in French stadiums.”
Players quoted during the international break
It seems to be the fashion for foreign footballers to speak to their home media while on international duty. The Belgian media seem to love creating a story out of their national team players, with Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku both quoted about their futures in the current international break. .......Read more here.....

According to the Times, Italian club Internazionale are in pole position to sign Bordeaux’s Brazilian starlet Malcom. Inter have reportedly offered an initial fee of around £8.8million to sign the youngster on loan before the deal becomes permanent next summer for a fee of £26.5million.
Malcom had reportedly previously been a transfer target for Arsenal. However, that was during Arsene Wenger’s reign as Gunners boss.

Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has become the head coach of Ligue One side Nice. The former Gunners star had previously spent two and a half years as head coach of MLS franchise New York City FC. Vieira’s contract in the Big Apple was due to expire in November, so he has made the move back to Europe.
Received a phone call from Arsenal
Vieira reportedly received a phone call from Arsenal to tell him that he was not set to replace outgoing Gunners Arsene Wenger this summer, with Unai Emery replacing the veteran French boss instead. Alexandre Lacazette arrived at Arsenal in the summer as a goal-machine from his time with Lyon in Ligue One. On Monday night, the French striker scored a brace in the Gunners 2-0 victory over West Brom at the Emirates Stadium.
The double means that Lacazette has now scored four Premier League goals in his six top-flight appearances this season, one of which was a cameo appearance off the bench at Liverpool.
Proving doubters wrong
The French international has certainly continued where he left in his native league this season. There were question marks over whether he could be prolific in a higher standard of league. However, those doubts seem to be unfounded at the moment. .......Read more here.....

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Arsenal are set to launch a world-record £125million bid for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe this summer.
The story seems like a fairytale from a journalist with too much time on his hands or after a few too many drinks. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hates to part with money, so for the French boss to part with that sort of money for one player, albeit a highly rated player seems ridiculous.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal are set to renew their interest in Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. The paper claims that the Gunners have been in touch with the striker’s current club to hold talks over a potential deal that could cost the north London club close to £60million.
The French international is one of a plethora of strikers seemingly linked with the club on a bi-annual basis. His name is usual in the same category of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain when it came to Arsenal being linked with strikers. .......Read more here.....

According to the Metro, Arsenal are on the trail of highly-rated full-back Layvin Kurzawa and could be set to make a move for the star in the summer.
The Gunners rate the left-back at around £17million and Italian media outlet Sport Mediaset claim the side from north London will make a move to sign Kurzawa whether Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger stays at the club or not.
Kurzawa is highly rated and is reported to be a summer target identified by Wenger as a summer signing. Spanish international Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs have competed for the left-back position in the last few seasons. .......Read more here.....

Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has revealed that he would like to manage in the Premier League. The Portuguese boss has reportedly emerged as one of the favourites to replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal boss in the summer.
Asked about whether he would fancy trying his luck in the English top-flight, he is quoted by the Metro as saying: ‘Well, I think that all managers and players want to coach and play at the highest level and, today, the Premier League is perhaps the biggest national league in Europe,’

According to reports from France and the Metro, Arsenal are in talks to sign French winger Rachid Ghezzal in the summer. The winger is currently at Ligue One club Lyon, but his contract expires in the summer. That means Ghezzal will be a free agent in the summer and could prove to be a bargain buy.
Reports in Italy suggest that Arsenal have already held talks with Ghezzal agent. However, a number of clubs are believed to be interested in signing the Algerian international, including Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Monaco, Valencia and Everton.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are interested in signing Nice’s Portuguese right-back Ricardo Pereira, who is rated in the £20million-bracket. The 23-year-old is on loan from Portuguese club Porto. Pereira is in his second year of his loan spell and has impressed for the French leaders.
Nice are currently top of Ligue One, ahead of the likes of Monaco and PSG. Pereira can play in either full-back position and also played as a winger earlier in his career.
