Posted on January 21, 2021 by Harry Kettle

While we’d all like to get back to something resembling normality right now, it doesn’t appear as if that’s going to be the case anytime soon – at least not in the English Premier League. There are constant changes that teams and fans have to be made aware of on an almost daily basis, and Arsenal aren’t immune from that disruption.

Towards the end of the summer transfer window it was starting to look like Eddie Nketiah would be leaving the club, and that’s exactly what happened. He’ll be at Elland Road on loan, before eventually making his way back to the Emirates (unless Leeds attempt to sign him on a permanent deal).

Brian McDermott is the newest arrival to Arsenal’s scouting team until the end of the season, with the 53-year-old to assume the role originally offered to Ian Broomfield.

McDermott was a scout during his many years with Reading in the past, before he made the step up into management. But he jumped at the chance to work with Arsenal, and could be very busy with the January transfer window approaching.
