West Brom held Arsenal to a frustrating 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
The home side offered the first threat on goal on seven minutes. Matt Phillips chipped a good ball into Jay Rodriguez, whose header failed to trouble Petr Cech.
The Gunners offered their first threat on the home goal on nine minutes. Alexandre Lacazette picked up the ball on the edge of the area and found space. However, the striker’s effort deflected wide of goal off a Baggies defender. .......Read more here.....

It took a while for Spanish international defender Nacho Monreal to nail down a first-team spot at Arsenal. He had to job share at left-back with Kieran Gibbs for a relatively long period.
However, Monreal is now one of the Gunners unsung heroes. The Spaniard may have made an error against Everton in the 5-2 win at Goodison Park in the Gunners last Premier League game, but apart from that mistake, he has barely put a foot wrong this season for a player playing out of position.

Watford have reportedly abandoned their plans to sign Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs.
The Hornets were keen to land the 27-year-old defender in time for the start of the 2017/18 season, but have been put off by Arsenal’s steep valuation of their player.
Marco Silva is refusing to meet Arsenal’s £16 million asking price for a player who has not been a first-team regular at the Emirates. Kieran Gibbs is unlikely to play on regular basis this season and with less than 12 months in his deal with the Gunners, he will be available on a free contract at the end of next season. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs looks set to leave the club this summer after being left out of the squad for the Emirates Cup, reports The Sun. The England international has been linked with a move to Watford, West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United and was previously left out of the pre-season tour as he negotiated his exit.
There’s been little progress since. West Bromwich Albion have pulled out of the deal, while Watford and Newcastle United aren’t keen to meet Arsenal’s £15m asking price. Gibbs has hardly featured for the Gunners in the last 12 months, making just eight Premier League starts in 2016/17. His contract is up next summer so Arsenal are running out of time to get value from the left-back. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs was a player that looked to have so much promise when he first broke into the Gunners first-team. However, a mixture of injury problems and a loss of form saw him struggle for first team last season.
There are now doubts over the England international’s future at the club after he was omitted from the Gunners squad for their preseason tour of Australia and China.
According to Sky Sports, West Brom have seen a £10million bid for the full-back rejected. It seems that he is more highly-rated elsewhere than in north London. .......Read more here.....

According to the Northern Echo, Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs is still a target for Newcastle United this summer. The English international is expected to be sold ahead of the new season but clubs were previously put off by his £15m asking price. According to the Mirror, Arsenal have lowered their asking price for Kieran Gibbs, with clubs having baulked at their previous £15m valuation. The Gunners are willing to accept £8m for the England international, with Newcastle United still believed to be interested.
Arsenal signed Sead Kolasinac from Schalke this summer and are believed to be in the market for OGC Nice left-back Dalbert Henrique. Nacho Monreal looks to be used as more of a centre-back next season but is a natural left-back which means Arsenal have no need for Gibbs to stay. .......Read more here.....

According to the Metro, Arsenal have made a bid for OGC Nice defender Dalbert Henrique. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says Inter Milan are after the Brazilian too. The Ligue 1 side are reportedly asking for £13m but it’s unknown why Arsenal would be in bid for another left-back.
Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac signed for Arsenal this summer, joining Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs as left-back options ahead of the new season so the Gunners arguably don’t need another one. Their alleged pursuit for Dalbert may suggest Monreal and Gibbs’ future is in doubt, or that Kolasinac might be utilised as a centre-back. .......Read more here.....

According to the Evening Standard, Watford have pulled out of a deal to sign Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs, with the defender’s asking price too high for the Hornets to match. A host of clubs were previously linked with the Gunners defender but interest has waned as the summer as gone on.
Gibbs is believed to be for sale this summer but will cost £15m to sign, an asking price too lofty for a player who’s hardly featured in the last two seasons, so Watford will now turn their attention to Middlesbrough’s George Friend. Arsenal are keen to cut a left-back off the wage bill as they currently have Nacho Monreal, Gibbs and new-boy Sead Kolasinac as options. .......Read more here.....

SArsenal have now officially announced the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina international Sead Kolasinac. The 23-year-old has agreed to a five-year deal with the Gunners and will arrive on a free transfer from Schalke.
The versatile star is expected to join up with the Arsenal squad in July, which is when his contract in Gelsenkirchen expires. Although Kolasinac is versatile and can play in many positions, he is most noted as a left-back.
With left-backs Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs already on the club’s books, it seems like there likely that one of those will leave. .......Read more here.....
