Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel believes his team didn’t deserve to get any more from the Monday’s game at the Emirates than they did, according to Leicestershire Live.

The Danish international says his team were clearly the better of the two in the first 45 minutes, but the game ended up being a classic ‘tale of two halves’ with Arsenal responding well after the break. He also laments the decision of referee Chris Kavanagh not award the Foxes a penalty for a clear handball early in the match.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are considering re-signing Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer, as current Blues number one Thibaut Courtois looks set for a move to Real Madrid.

The move would seem a strange one, but Cech was only ousted from the Chelsea team due to Courtois being such a promising and highly-rated player.

Cech is a Chelsea hero

The veteran goalkeeper is a true Chelsea hero, having spent 11 years with the Blues before making a move across the capital to join Arsenal in 2015. While he has endured mixed fortunes in north London, Cech enjoyed an incredible career at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal drew 0-0 at Premier League champions Leicester on Saturday evening. Both teams lacked a cutting edge and the result was arguably a fair one in the end.

The Gunners had the first attempt on goal of the match, as Alexis Sanchez dragged a shot wide of goal from just outside the area. The game then saw a lot of action in midfield and not much room for chances to be created.

The next effort on goal did come until 25 minutes when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cut in from the wing and curled an effort just past Kasper Schmeichel’s far post.

The visitors had a chance on seven minutes, as Cazorla’s effort was cleared off the line by Ritchie De Laet by Kasper Schmeichel. The home side hit the post on 11 minutes. Petr Cech produced a save from Jeffrey Schlupp, before Jamie Vardy’s effort hit the post.

The home side took the lead on 13 minutes. Vardy scampered down the left wing, cut inside and bent a superb effort past Cech and inside the post.

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, despite the fact the Gunners had far more attempts on goal.

The visitors took the lead on 17 minutes. Cazorla lofted a ball over the top of the Leicester defence to Yaya Sanogo, whose effort was saved by Schmeichel’s legs, only for Alexis Sanchez to smash home the rebound.
