On Saturday afternoon, Belgium and England meet in the World Cup 2018 third-place play-off game in Saint Petersburg. Neither side will have wanted to participate in this game, but both will be keen to end their adventures in Russia on a high.

For much of World Cup 2018, Belgium has looked like a team that could lift the trophy. In fact, the Red Devils were unbeaten in 24 games heading into their semi-final with France, only to suffer a 1-0 defeat against Les Bleus.

The Gunners have opened their Premier League campaign in inconsistent style, with one win and one defeat so far this season. Last time out an own goal from Damien Delaney was enough to earn Arsene Wenger’s men a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace.

The win was a relief after the north London side kicked-off their Premier League campaign with a disappointing 2-0 home defeat against West Ham.

The Premier League head-to-head is very tight, with Arsenal claiming 16 wins to Liverpool’s 15 and 15 games finishing in draws.

Arsenal pair to start for England against Norway 0

Arsenal pair Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will start England’s friendly game against Norway tonight. The Gunners midfield pair will start in a youthful looking midfield alongside Liverpool pair Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling.

Jack Wilshere’s performances for the Gunners have been very inconsistent in recent seasons. Injuries have constantly disrupted the midfielder’s develop and career. Arsenal now has a lot of options in midfield, especially in the more advanced midfield positions.

Wilshere had supposedly been earmarked by Arsene Wenger as the Gunners defensive midfielder this season, but he has not yet really fulfilled that position this season.
