Arsenal eventually overcome West Ham 0

In the first game since veteran boss Arsene Wenger announced he would leave the club in the summer, Arsenal recorded a 4-1 win over West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal had the first attempt on goal of the game on nine minutes, as centre-back Laurent Koscielny headed wide of goal from a Granit Xhaka corner kick.

At the other end of the pitch, Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario drew a smart save from David Ospina, while Marko Arnautovic also saw a shot on goal blocked by the Gunners defence.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in making a summer move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, who is currently out on-loan at Italian club Torino.

The England number one is reportedly being considered as a replacement for Gunners number one Petr Cech, who has come in for criticism of late. My question would be is Hart an upgrade on the veteran ‘keeper and I am highly unsure.

Hart is younger than Cech, but the Czech Republic keeper is arguably more reliable than the City goalkeeper, even after his recent mistake against Chelsea.

England No.1 Joe Hart is not expected to extend his stay in the Serie A past the current season.

Out of favour with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Joe Hart was sent on loan to the Italian club Torino at hte beginning of the season after failing to impress the Spaniard of his abilities to transform his game and become a sweeper keeper former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager likes having in his goal.

Hart has been disappointed with the treatment he got from the new boss and is unlikely to return to the Etihad once his loan spell with the Bulls expires at the end of the campaign.

Arsenal came back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with fellow top four side Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

The visitors made a bright start to the contest and on ten minutes had the first effort on goal. Spanish winger Jesus Navas fired well wide and high from the edge of the penalty area. The Gunners had a claim for a penalty turned down on 11 minutes.

Tomas Rosicky tumbled in the Manchester City box under a challenge from Pablo Zabaleta. However, referee Mike Dean waved away appeals for a spot-kick. On 17 minutes City midfielder Samir Nasri saw an effort palmed down by Wojciech Szczesny.
