Reportedly, Arsenal target Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri has completed a shock move to Premier League new boys Fulham from Nice for a fee reported to be in the region of £18million.
Seri had been continually linked with a move to both Arsenal and Chelsea. Both London giants were linked with £35million bids for the midfielder last summer. However, the midfielder has now joined Fulham for a much smaller fee than mooted in the past.
Arsenal must be happy with their midfield options
It seems that Arsenal are satisfied with their midfield options. The Gunners already had the likes of Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed Elneny available to new boss Unai Emery before the summer transfer window opened. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal are still interested in OGC Nice’s Jean-Michael Seri, according to Sky Sports. The man said to be behind the club’s ambition to sign the midfielder is Raul Sanllehi. The current Head of Football Relations at Arsenal once upon a time tried to secure his services for Barcelona.
Seri is, however, just one on the list of names being considered at the moment. As it stands, he would be available for a price of £35million, which is pretty reasonable given the way the football transfer market has been evolving since Paris Saint-Germain signed Neymar from Barcelona for around £200million last summer. .......Read more here.....

According to the Evening Standard, Arsenal could pull out of the race to sign highly-rated Nice central midfielder Jean-Michael Seri. Premier League and London rivals Chelsea are now expected to make a move for Seri.
Seri has long been linked with a move to north London, as the central midfield roles have proven a problem position in recent years. For example, Switzerland international Granit Xhaka still has a lot to prove at the club.
Available for £35million this summer
According to the Standard’s report, Seri will be available for £35million this summer. It is fair to say his displays in Ligue One have not gone unnoticed. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Mail, Jonny Evans, Jean Michael Seri and Ousmane Dembele may all be on Arsenal’s list of transfer targets this summer. Some of those transfer targets are more realistic than others, though.
The Gunners reportedly only have a transfer kitty of around £50million, plus any players, to strengthen a squad badly in need of strengthening. New head coach Unai Emery and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat need to be shrewd in the transfer market to stretch their budget. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal have held talks with the agent of OGC Nice’s Jean-Michael Seri as they contemplate moving for the midfielder this summer, according to Sky Sports.
Seri came close to a move to Barcelona last summer but the deal fell through at the last minute. Apart from the Gunners, Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the situation.
Seri spent two years in Portugal with Pacos de Ferreira before moving to Nice in 2015. Since then, he has made 121 appearances and scored 11 goals for the French club in all competitions. In 2017, he was named in the League 1 Team of the Year along with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Marco Veratti, Edinson Cavani, and now Arsenal’s very own Alexandre Lacazette. He has also accumulated 18 caps for Ivory Coast. .......Read more here.....

Another disappointing campaign has come to an end, but Arsenal fans are hoping next season will be different as new era is set to start following the departure of long-serving manager Arsene Wenger.
Many believe that Manchester City assistant manager Mikel Arteta will be appointed as his successor, with even Pep Guardiola admitting he wouldn’t stand in Arteta’s way should he decide to return to the Emirates.
Somewhat of a squad overhaul definitely seems on the cards and we look at five players the new manager could recruit in the summer transfer window.

Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere has stated that coveted midfielder Jean Michael Seri will not be sold when the January transfer window opens. The 26-year-old was close to a move to Barcelona in the summer before the deal broke down at the last minute. The Catalans have since signed midfielder Paulinho and seem content with their options in the engine room this season.
Arsenal and Tottenham, however, remain interested according to reports. The Gunners have recently welcomed back Jack Wilshere who can provide creativity and ball retention in midfield, but his injury record means he’s unlikely to last the entire season fit. Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka has been the familiar partnership of late, but Seri would be an improvement on either player. .......Read more here.....

According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal have no clubs standing in their way for Jean-Michael Seri’s signature. The Gunners have been keen on the 26-year-old for most of the summer, but have seen the likes of Barcelona and AS Roma edge themselves ahead, with the latter making an official bid for the Nice midfielder. Latest reports say the duo are no longer in the running.
Seri made 34 Ligue 1 appearances last season, contributing 16 goals. He’s said to have a £36m release clause, a price Arsenal don’t appear keen to match, but the Londoners do have a need for a creative midfielder given Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere are currently out injured. .......Read more here.....

Believed to have a £36m release clause, the Nice midfielder could yet be on his way to Arsenal after the latest revelations. “There should be three or four more arrivals, and two departures. We want to finish these as soon as possible, but certain cases take more time than others,” Rivère told L’Equipe. .......Read more here.....

The 25-year-old joined the Italian Serie A giants for £30m and signed a five-year-deal. Nice are believed to be holding out for £35m but personal terms have been agreed and the deal should be concluded soon enough.
Seri, a transfer target for Spanish La Liga side Barcelona, made 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Nice last season, scoring seven goals and making nine assists.
