Arsenal’s tour of the United States, in terms of what has happened on the pitch, has been an overwhelming success. The Gunners have been able to string together a series of nice victories, which included a somewhat surprising win over Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. However, they were unable to stay unbeaten as they brought their tour to an end, losing out to Real Madrid in a thoroughly entertaining penalty shootout in Maryland.
Arsenal’s tour of the United States is starting to wind down now, and up to this point, things have gone pretty well. They’ve put together a series of nice wins, which has served as something of a confidence booster for the club. Sure, things could be going a bit better in the summer transfer window, but it still feels like there is some time for the club to rectify any lingering issues that may be present in that department.
Pre-season games usually aren’t a good indicator of whether or not a club is going to find success in the forthcoming domestic season, but when it comes to Arsenal’s recent showdown with Paris Saint-Germain, we feel as if we need to make a special exception. Sure, this is going to seem incredibly biased, but at the end of the day, a convincing 5-1 triumph over the French champions isn’t something that should be avoided.
