Pablo Mari has revealed he is keen to turn his loan from Flamengo to Arsenal into a permanent transfer.
The defender joined the Gunners on a temporary basis in January this year and has so far made two appearances for the club, a 1-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League and a 0-2 win away to Portsmouth in the FA Cup. His performance on both occasions could only be described as impressive, especially given that most players need at least a little bit of time to adapt and show their potential after moving to a new club and a new league. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal have officially confirmed that defender Pablo Mari is set to arrive on loan for the rest of the season.
It has been a funny one, this story. The Spaniard was in London for talks over the weekend, after which he went back to Brazil. Some media outlets, Daily Mail being the ring-leader here, jumped to the conclusion that he went back disappointed and that the whole deal was now in great danger of collapsing. Others, meanwhile, maintained that his return to Brazil was always a part of his schedule, regardless of how the talks went and that it meant nothing. You’ve probably heard that Arsenal were very close to completing the signing of Pablo Mari from Flamengo on loan, and you may have hear that the deal has collapsed. Now stories are appearing that it is very much alive and kicking, and that it has never been in danger of collapsing.
The 26-year-old arrived to London over the weekend to discuss the move, and returned afterwards to Brazil. This is the point up to which all reports are in agreement, but also where they start heading their separate ways. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal left-back Andre Santos is reported to have joined Brazilian side Flamengo on a season-long loan.
‘We all know Andre well. He played for Flamengo in the past besides working with me at Corinthians. He is an experienced full-back, and a player that will add a lot if everything works out and the deal becomes official.’ – Flamengo manager Mano Menezes.
The 30-year old defender has become surplus to requirements at Arsenal – spending last season with Gremio, in which he made just five appearances.
