According to Sky Sports, West Ham are interested in signing Arsenal’s Spanish striker Lucas Perez before Thursday transfer deadline. The 29-year-old could well seal a move away from north London in the next few days, especially as the player’s agent has confirmed interest from the Hammers.

Surplus to requirements at Arsenal

Lucas Perez is reportedly considered surplus to requirements at Arsenal. The forward spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna, where he scored eight times in 35 appearances as Deportivo suffered relegation under Clarence Seedorf.

According to Marca via talkSPORT, Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is a target for Levante, after his proposed return to Deportivo La Coruna broke down. The 28-year-old looked set to re-join the club who Arsenal signed him from 12 months ago, but now he might be joining another Spanish La Liga side.

Levante are believed to have put their name in the hat to sign Lucas, who last season scored and created 12 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions. He made few starts for Arsenal but proved prolific in the low number of minutes afforded by manager Arsene Wenger. However, the Gunners boss has dug his heels in when it comes to letting him leave this summer.

La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna have made an unusual proposal to Arsenal man Lucas Perez in effort to re-sign the forward and lure him back to his hometown club.

The 28-year-old Spanish striker endured a torrid time in London over the past season. Having joined Arsenal in August 2016 for a transfer fee believed to be in excess of €20 million, Lucas Perez struggled to hold down a starting place at the Gunners.

The Spaniard found his opportunities limited having started only two Premier League matches throughout the season and is believed to be looking for a way out of Arsenal in order to kick-start his career.

The arrival of French international striker Alexandre Lacazette has been interpreted as a clear message for out-of-favour Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, who is now set to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The 28-year-old Spanish striker Perez made just two Premier League starts after joining Gunners last summer in his £17 million transfer from La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna.

Having failed to impress and win his place in Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up Lucas Perez is keen to leave Arsenal in order to play regularly and boost his chances of making it into Spain’s World Cup squad next season.

Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is expected to be on his way out this summer, with two clubs from the Spanish La Liga believed to be keen in his signature. The 28-year-old hasn’t even been at the Emirates Stadium for a year but is seeking a move as a result of a lack of playing time in his maiden campaign.

According to the Mirror, former side Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla are both interested in Perez who asked for an exit after his £17m move didn’t go to plan. He was brought to the club late last summer and ended up scoring an impressive seven goals in 400 minutes of football in all competitions.

Striker Lucas Perez is unhappy with his current status at Arsenal and is reported to be seeking a way out of the club at the end of the season.

Serious lack of playing time has left Spaniard disgruntled and disillusioned with his future at Arsenal which ultimately led to a revelation that he would consider moving back to Deportivo La Coruna in the summer.

The 28-year-old striker managed only three starts for the Gunners in the Premier League and Champions League this season and he feels such a limited involvement has not helped him progress as a footballer.

Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, agent of Lucas Perez, claims the Arsenal man hasn’t spoken to any club about a summer exit and is instead focused on seeing out the season with the Gunners. Perez, signed from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, has been linked with a return to the Estadio Riazor after a disappointing debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium, but Lovelle has refuted such claims.

Arsenal’s Spanish striker Lucas Perez is set for a summer return to former club Deportivo La Coruna, according to the Daily Star.

Lucas only arrived at Arsenal last summer from Deportivo for a reported fee of around £17million. The Gunners snatched the striker out of the grasp of Premier League rivals Everton.

However, Lucas has failed to get much of a chance in north London and it seems he could make a loan move back to his former club.

Will Lucas Perez ever be a first choice player at Arsenal? 0

When Lucas Perez first signed for Arsenal from Deportivo La Coruna for a reported fee of £17million a lot of Gunners fans will have been googling the striker (sounds painful). The reason being he had endured something of a nomadic career.

The versatile forward had played in Spain, Greece and the Ukraine. The then 27-year-old was not exactly the high-quality striker that the Gunners fans craved.
