Arsenal and Tottenham played out a 1-1 draw in the north London derby on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. Kieran Gibbs equalised in the second half, after Harry Kane opened the scoring in the first half.

Despite a lively start to the game, the first real attempt on goal did not come until the 19th minute, as Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele saw a shot deflect wide of goal. The resulting corner kick was played short and Christian Eriksen fired wide from a tight angle.

Arsenal’s fine form came to a halt, as the Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat at arch-rivals Tottenham courtesy of a Harry Kane brace.

The first shot on goal came on five minutes. Spurs striker Harry Kane curled an effort towards goal from the edge of the area, only for David Ospina to produce a fine save. However, it was Arsenal that took the lead on 11 minutes.

Danny Welbeck used his pace to take on Danny Rose. The former-United man’s cross found Olivier Giroud who laid the ball off to Mesut Ozil and the German placed a fantastic volley into the corner of the net.
