Closing in on Adli

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of teenager Yacine Adli, according to the Guardian.

The 17-year-old midfielder has worked with manager Unai Emery at his former club Paris Saint-Germain, and he has reportedly rejected an offer of a professional contract from the French club and decided to follow Emery to the Emirates.

The contract that he’s being offered by Arsenal is for three years, and it includes options for extensions.

Despite the popular belief that it is the young and talented Daniele Rugani Arsenal were after, the North London giants are actually keen on another Juventus defender.

According to the latest reports emerging from Sky Italia, Gunners have set their sights on the experienced Moroccan international centre-back Mehdi Benatia.

The 30-year-old defender only joined Bianconeri from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal at the end of last season but he’s already being linked with a move away from Turin given that he failed to establish himself as the first-choice centre-back for the Serie A reigning champions.

As soon as the January transfer window got closed, Europe’s top clubs got engaged in dealings that would see them prepare potential summer moves and Arsenal are no exception.

According to the Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the Gunners have made a formal approach for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

In their bid to strengthen the backline and add more quality to their defence for the next season, Arsenal have submitted a formal £25.6 million approach for one of the hottest young centre-backs, but Serie A champions have apparently rejected the offer.

According to the Metro, Italian Serie A champions Juventus rejected a £25M bid from Arsenal for defender Daniele Rugani. The 21-year-old centre-back has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs this summer, and it’s been rumoured that he might be open to an exit in a bid to get more playing time.

Rugani made 11 Serie A starts last season, playing second fiddle to the likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci in the Juventus defence. The Italian U21 international is rated highly in the camp, however, which is why the Old Lady are so keen to keep him, but Arsenal might make another bid.

Arsenal are being linked with moves for Serie A pair Daniele Rugani and Jorginho by the Italian media. Tuttosport are reporting that the Gunners are interested in signing in signing highly-rated young Juventus defender Rugani.

According to reports Arsenal are set to bid £25million for the defender rated as one of the best young players currently operating in the Italian top-flight. However, Rugani is also interesting former-boss Maurizio Sarri at Napoli.

Talking of Napoli, Gazetta dello Sport is reporting that Arsenal are interested in Azzurri midfielder Jorginho and could make a move for the 23-year-old in the January transfer window. The midfielder has played a part in Napoli’s 15 game unbeaten run in Serie A and is also regarded as a bright player for the future.

Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani has welcomed interest from Premier League giants Arsenal, according to a source close to the Italian defender.

The 21-year-old caught the eye of quite a few sides with some outstanding performances during a loan spell with Empoli last season, and he has since returned to Turin.

However, having failed to make a single appearance in the first six league games, Rugani is being heavily linked with a move away from the club.

Reports in Italy are suggesting that Arsenal have taken a keen interest in the talented footballer, with the Gunners reportedly even submitting an official proposal this summer.
