A rundown of the best odds for Arsenal vs CSKA Moscow 0

Posted on April 03, 2018 by Harry Kettle

As we approach Arsenal’s big-time showdown with CSKA Moscow on Thursday night, it’s time to take a look at some of the best bets and odds available to Gunners fans out there courtesy of bet365. The game, which will be a UEFA Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie, holds a massive amount of potential for Arsene Wenger’s men as they’ll be attempting to really lay down a marker prior to the second leg over in Russia.

It’s no secret that they’re making this competition their priority, and that’s the smartest possible thing they can do right now. Manchester United did the same thing, which is the reason why they were able to compete in the Champions League throughout the 2017/18 season.

Lacazette could be the key to Arsenal winning the Europa League 0

Most Arsenal fans would not describe this season as a successful one. However, there is still a chance that the Gunners may win the Europa League this season, something they are odds of 3/1 to achieve.

Arsene Wenger’s side eventually saw off a stubborn Stoke resistance on Sunday to record a 3-0 win. I would argue that the return from injury of French striker Alexandre Lacazette from the bench played a crucial role.

Endured a mixed Arsenal career so far

Lacazette has endured mixed fortunes at Arsenal this season. The French international joined the north London outfit last summer from Lyon and much was expected of him. He was the top-class striker Arsenal had been lacking for years.

Southampton date changed again as Arsenal warns fans about Moscow 0

Arsenal’s home game against the relegation-threatened Southampton this season was initially scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 7th, but it was later moved to Monday evening in order to enable live coverage by Sky television.

Now, due to Arsenal playing a Europa League game against CSKA in Moscow the following Thursday, it has been rescheduled again. It will be played on Sunday, April 8th, kicking off at 2:15 PM.

Having previously sacked Mauricio Pellegrino, the Saints have appointed Mark Hughes as their new manager. How much sense exactly it makes to sack a manager for being involved in a relegation battle only to hire a manager that has already been sacked elsewhere for the same reason (Stoke City) remains to be seen.

The pros and cons of Arsenal drawing CSKA Moscow 0

As we all know by now, Arsenal FC will take on CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals. There are about a million storylines to unpack from this game alone, and moving forward, it seems as if many fans are divided when it comes to whether or not this is an ideal match-up for the Gunners.

Naturally, there are going to be reservations as well as positives with any kind of European draw, and because of that, we felt as if the easiest way to figure the whole thing out would be to create a list of pros and cons. Aren’t you lucky.

Arsenal draw CSKA Moscow in UEFA Europa League quarter-finals 0

Arsenal Football Club will play CSKA Moscow in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League, as revealed in the official draw which was made earlier today.

Arsene Wenger’s men will look to make a statement in the first leg when they host CSKA on April 5th, before travelling to the Russian capital seven nights later to decide which of the two teams will progress to the semi-finals of the competition.

The draw comes in the wake of renewed tension between the United Kingdom and Russia, but above that, many eyes will be on Wenger to see whether or not he can guide the Gunners into what would be their first appearance in the final four of a major European tournament in years.

Premier League outfit Arsenal are actively searching for midfield reinforcements this summer after being hit with demoralising news regarding Santi Cazorla’s fresh injury setback.

The latest medical reports from within Arsenal’s camp have reported this week that the Spanish midfielder suffered another blow to his long-standing injury.

It is also said that Cazorla might have already played his final game for the Gunners given the fact he is not expected to return until April 2018, just a couple of months before his deal with Arsenal expires.

Arsenal Reignite their Interest in Keisuke Honda 0

CSKA Moscow are resigned to losing their attacking-midfielder Keisuke Honda, after their general club director gave the green light for the Japanese international to leave the side this summer.

‘Honda could be speaking to another club at the moment, because the rules allow it. We are ready to let him go if we receive a reasonable offer. It is a difficult decision to make – part ways with Honda now or keep him until his contract expires.’ – CSKA Moscow director Roman Babaev.
