Recent rumours of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger giving star player Alexis Sanchez a rest have not gone down well with the Chilean. Sanchez took to Instagram to offer those lacking energy some of his.

The former-Barcelona star played 90 minutes for Chile in their 3-0 defeat against Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night. He was a doubt for the clash with a calf problem, but apparently came through the game without a problem.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is sweating on the fitness of Chilean international Alexis Sanchez ahead of Saturday’s visit to Watford. The former-Barcelona star Sanchez featured twice for his national side in qualifiers, despite carrying an injury picked-up in the Gunners 3-0 victory over Manchester United last time out.

Arsenal veteran French boss is concerned about the forward telling Sky Sports: “We cannot do a lot about it,”

“He came off, as you have seen, against Manchester United with a hip problem.

Arsenal are reportedly set to make Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez the clubs highest paid player with talks over a new deal set to take place in the next few weeks. The former-Barcelona star is currently on £130,000 a-week, which is less than top earner Mesut Ozil, who is paid £140,000 per week.

Sanchez looks set to leapfrog the German in the pay ranks with a wage rise. The Gunners are attempting to secure their top players futures, and Sanchez is certainly one of those top players.

Alexis Sanchez helps Chile defeat Brazil 0

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez scored a last-gasp effort for Chile as they defeated Brazil 2-0 on Thursday night in World Cup qualifying. The former-Barcelona star went into the international break carrying a knock, but Gunners fans will be breathing a sigh of relief that Sanchez came through the game unscathed.

Sanchez has hit form in recent weeks scoring six goals in his last three games in all competitions for the north London club, after failing to find his best form in the opening games of the season.

Much of that lack of form was put down to his involvement with his nation side at the summer’s Copa America.

While Alexis Sanchez is most appreciated for his football qualities, the Chilean continues to prove there is much more to him than just being a world-class footballer, as he has again decided to help the people of his hometown.

Tocopilla citizens recently had to battle serious storms and floods that created all sorts of problems in the community, and the Arsenal forward wasted no time in an attempt to help his former neighbours.

Sanchez arranged for two lorries packed with aid to be sent to Tocopilla and the mayor of the city went on to confirm that bottled water, supplies and first-aid material have already reached those in need.

Arsene Wenger expecting even more from the returning Alexis Sanchez this season 0

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been full of praise for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, with the talented South American having endured a gruelling World Cup (summer of 2014), debut season in the Premier League (2014/15) and Copa America (summer of 2015), while being in shape to start for the Gunners in their next league game against Crystal Palace.

Despite a standout debut season that saw him score GOALS, his manager believes the best is yet to come, saying: “He works extremely hard in every single training session to show that he is ready. This season, he knows what is expected from him, and he will do better than last year.”

Alexis Sanchez 20/1 to be top Premier League goalscorer this season 0

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is hoping to build on a fantastic debut campaign with the Londoners ahead of the new season by finishing with the Golden Boot. Sanchez, 26, was Arsenal’s top goalscorer in 2014/15, scoring 16 goals and making eight assists in 35 league appearances, and is targeting 20+ goals in the division to help the Londoners to the title.

The Chilean international has hit double figures for goals in four of his last five playing seasons, and averaged a goal every 2.2 games in an Arsenal shirt. Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero (26 goals) won the Golden Boot last season, while Sanchez finished fifth in the standings. Manager Arsene Wenger believes there’s much more to come from him after a promising first season, and is tipping Sanchez to top the scoring charts come May.

Alexis Sanchez’s pre-season delayed by visa problems 0

Alexis Sanchez’s pre-season has been delayed by the fact that he had to wait for a new visa, according to the Daily Telegraph. The Chilean international was stuck in Paris on Monday, (not a bad place to be stuck really) waiting for his new visa to be processed.

The Chilean has been allowed an extended break after he helped his national side win the Copa America on home soil. The 26-year-old scored the winning penalty in the final of the competition against Argentina.

Alexis Sanchez remains Arsenal’s ace in the pack 0

Last summer Arsenal pulled-off something of a coup as they completed the signing of Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.

The forward repaid Arsenal by scoring 25 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions in his debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium. Unfortunately Arsenal’s very own Duracell bunny will miss the start of the Premier League campaign, due to helping Chile win the Copa America on home soil.

Sanchez will no doubt be missed, but he is sure to have a big impact on the Gunners performances in the new season. In fact Sanchez is odds of 16/1 to win the Premier League golden boot in the new campaign, shorter odds than French striker Olivier Giroud who is expected to be the Gunners first choice striker.

Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez to miss start of the new season 0

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez will miss the start of the new season because manager Arsene Wenger is set to allow the Chilean international late holiday to recoup after his Copa America winning exploits this summer.

The Gunners boss did a similar thing for his World Cup winning trio (Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil) last summer, but it means Arsenal will be without an influential figure in the attack from the start of the new campaign.
