The Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson has been negotiating a move with Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce throughout the January transfer window, and with less than 48 until the window closes Jenkinson’s move to Selhurst Park is off.

Arsenal defender had been given the green light to negotiate a deal with Crystal Palace, but has failed to agree personal terms and will remain in Arsene Wenger’s team until the end of the current campaign as it seems.

Jenkinson was left disappointed by Crystal Palace who are reported to have pulled the plug on a deal.

Arsenal right back Mathieu Debushy is hoping for a return to France before the January transfer window closes as the 31-year-old defender has been told he can leave Gunners, according to the reports from Metro.

Former Lille right-back was engaged in a short-lived loan spell at Bordeaux in 2016, when he made just 9 Ligue 1 appearances before returning to Emirates, but could once again return to his homeland, for the second time since his 2013 departure.

Debuchy made 233 Ligue 1 appearances in ten years he spent playing with Lille, whereas he also scored 16 league games for Les Dogues. The player is hoping for a return home as his frustrations at Arsenal continue.

Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson has been linked with a January switch to Crystal Palace. According to boss Arsene Wenger, all that needs to be complete is personal terms, but the 24-year-old cannot come to an agreement with the Eagles.

It seems Jenkinson is stalling on a move to Palace, but surely a move to any Premier League club would boost his flagging career?

Not going to play at Arsenal

I have said this about Jenkinson in previous articles that he will hardly ever play at Arsenal. He has made one Premier League appearance this season and produced an unconvincing performance.

Carl Jenkinson’s protracted exit from Arsenal has hit a stumbling block with disagreements over wages with suitors Crystal Palace. The want-away right-back looked set for a switch to Selhurst Park after being made available for transfer by manager Arsene Wenger, but Eagles boss Sam Allardyce revealed the deal was “hanging in the balance” as a result of Jenkinson failing to agree personal terms.

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is set to join Crystal Palace after manager Sam Allardyce revealed the two clubs are close to agreeing terms. The Gunners fullback has failed to nail down a starting spot since his arrival from Charlton Athletic in 2011, making just over 60 appearances in his six years at the Emirates Stadium, and finally looks on his way out in an attempt to reignite his fledgling career.

Carl Jenkinson days at Arsenal appear to be numbered.

The 24-year-old defender has failed to establish himself as first-team regular following two consecutive season-long loan spells as West Ham United and looks set to make a permanent move away from the Emirates.

Former Hammers manager and current Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce is looking to reunite with Arsenal defender at Selhurst Paro and is believed to be pushing for a permanent deal reportedly worth £3 million.

Sam Allardyce is beginning a rebuilding process at Premier League strugglers and is already eyeing moves for Jenkinson and Patrick Van Aanholt.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are interested in signing Nice’s Portuguese right-back Ricardo Pereira, who is rated in the £20million-bracket. The 23-year-old is on loan from Portuguese club Porto. Pereira is in his second year of his loan spell and has impressed for the French leaders.

Nice are currently top of Ligue One, ahead of the likes of Monaco and PSG. Pereira can play in either full-back position and also played as a winger earlier in his career. One of his main attributes is regarded as his pace. He is considered to be one of the top defenders in Ligue One so far this season.

Arsenal set to listen to offers for full-back 0

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal set to allow full-back Carl Jenkinson to leave in the January transfer window. The report claims he will be allowed to leave the club on loan or on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old will not have a shortage of takers for his services, though, as he is still relatively highly rated in the Premier League.

Difficult to get past Hector Bellerin

The full-back was always fighting a losing battle to oust Spanish star Hector Bellerin from the Gunners starting line-up. The Spaniard has been one of the Gunners most consistent performers over the past few seasons and is the undisputed first choice in Jenkinson’s preferred position of right-back.

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson looks set to leave the club in the January transfer window, with West Ham United and Championship promotion-hopefuls Aston Villa two of the clubs linked with his signature. He could be sent out for his third loan spell with the Hammers, but could also be on his way to Swansea City if rumours are to be believed.

The 24-year-old looked like he’d play a big part in the first-team after being reintroduced to the fray by manager Arsene Wenger this season, and after starting in November’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United. But a poor showing at Old Trafford has seen Jenkinson out of the side and bottom of the pecking order, and it appears Arsenal will sell him next month.

England international Carl Jenkinson has been reintroduced to the Gunners first-team fold this season, but the 24-year-old defender struggled to make his mark in the absence of injured Hector Bellerin.

His performances against Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in November have been particularly below par and the England right-back looks set to leave Emirates during the January transfer window.

Having spent the previous two seasons on loan at West Ham, Jenkinson is in line for another loan spell, with Championship side Aston Villa keen to acquire his services when the transfer market reopens.
