Arsenal recorded a 2-1 win over a resilient Cardiff City side at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Star striker Pierre Aubameyang was involved in both of the Gunners goals, scoring and also producing an assist. The Gabon international had previously been prolific with former club Dortmund and he has picked up from where he left off in the Premier League.
Involved in 21 goals this season
Aubameyang has been involved in 21 goals in the English top-flight this season, scoring 15 goals and producing assists. He has 18 goals in all competitions for the Gunners, so it is far too say he has enjoyed a productive campaign this season. .......Read more here.....

The disappointment of the FA Cup fourth round exit is still fresh with some Arsenal fans. However, the Gunners get back to Premier League business this evening and welcome relegation-threatened Cardiff City to the Emirates Stadium.
A great opportunity to return to the top four
Arsenal’s form over the last few weeks has been highly inconsistent. However, the visit of the Bluebirds gives the Gunners an opportunity they cannot afford to miss. A win against the 18th place Welsh side would move Unai Emery’s side above Chelsea and into the top-four, with the Blues facing a potentially more difficult trip to Bournemouth on Wednesday night. .......Read more here.....

On Tuesday night, Arsenal will look to continue their quest for a top-four position in the Premier League when the Gunners host struggling Cardiff at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal heads into this clash on the back of a 3-1 home defeat against Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Gunners will be hoping for better fortunes on their return to the Premier League.
The Gunners have been inconsistent of late in the Premier League, winning three of their last matches in the top-flight. However, a 2-0 win over Chelsea in their last league game means that the team from north London could move into the top four of the table with a victory in this clash. .......Read more here.....

Cardiff (H)
They’ve just got to win this and there are no two ways about it. Cardiff have surprised a lot of people so far this season as they’re still right in the hunt for survival, and we’re anticipating them giving Arsenal a really tough game in this one. Unfortunately for Bluebirds fans that isn’t quite going to be enough, especially considering that Arsenal are much, much stronger at home than they are away from home. It’s going to be closer than a lot of fans would like, but they’ll manage to get the job done.

There were many things to take from Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Cardiff on Sunday. One was that Arsenal are still highly vulnerable in defence. Another one was that Lacazette and Aubameyang playing in the team brought the Gunners.
Who would have thought it eh? Apart from anybody that has watched Arsenal play in the last nine months or so that is!
Goalscorers scoring goals
It is not rocket science that when two goalscorers are on the pitch it makes a team more likely to find the net. Lacazette and Aubameyang are goalscorers and both have proven that down the years in European football. .......Read more here.....

Arsenal were able to overcome a lot of challenges yesterday as they defeated Cardiff City 3-2, giving Unai Emery his first away win as a boss in the Premier League. It was extremely touch and go at times but, for the most part, it felt as if Arsenal were starting to put the necessary pieces in place that would help them find success at the highest level. Of course, there’s still a long way to go on this journey, but this is a good step forward for them. .......Read more here.....

Mesut Ozil seems to be a player that divides opinion amongst Arsenal fans. The playmaker missed last weekend’s 3-1 win over West Ham reportedly due to illness. However, he had been substituted in the previous game a 3-2 defeat at Chelsea.
A lot was made of his absence, with speculation that he has fallen out with Gunners boss Unai Emery, which led to his absence against West Ham. Ozil will start today’s game at Cardiff and will be hoping to produce the sort of performance that will silence his doubters. .......Read more here.....

On Sunday afternoon, Cardiff City host Arsenal at the Cardiff City Stadium, as the Gunners look to record back-to-back league victories.
Cardiff has yet to record a victory on their return to the Premier League, picking up just two points from their opening three top-flight games this season. The Bluebirds suffered a 3-1 home defeat in midweek in the Carabao Cup.
Last time out in the Premier League, Neil Warnock’s side picked up a goalless draw at Huddersfield. The draw means that the Welsh side has failed to score in any of their three Premier League games so far this season. .......Read more here.....

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal could be set to compete with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool for Cardiff’s highly-rated centre-back Steven Caulker this summer.
The 22-year-old was one of the Bluebirds better players last season, as the Welsh side were relegated from the Premier League after just one season. The England international is set to leave the club from the Welsh capital and looks to be attracting the attention of a host of top-flight clubs.
Caulker only joined Cardiff last summer from the Arsenal’s arch-rivals Tottenham for a fee in the region of £8million. The centre-back found the net eight times and appeared in every top-flight game for the Bluebirds. .......Read more here.....
