Arsenal are interested in signing Denis Zakaria of Borussia Monchengladbach, according to numerous reports. In fact, Arsenal are just one of the reportedly interested clubs in his signature, along with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
As claimed by Mirror, the Gunners plan to sweeten the Germans up by offering to send Granit Xhaka back to them. According to Spanish sports publication Marca, Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Switzerland international goalkeeper Yann Sommer from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.
Too many goalkeepers
The Swiss star’s arrival would make the goalkeeping situation in north London very interesting. The Gunners already had two international goalkeepers at the club in Petr Cech and David Ospina before the summer arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
If the Gunners did manage to sign Sommer, Ospina and Cech would both leave the club in the summer. One of the pair is already set to leave the club, with the other staying and likely being number two to new arrival Leno. .......Read more here.....

For much of the last few campaigns, Arsenal have lacked real steel in the centre of their midfield. Some would argue that French midfielder Francis Coquelin gives the Gunners that particular attribute in the centre of the park.
However, is Coquelin really ever going to develop past his current level? It seems doubtful. He does a decent enough job, but it’s unlikely he will ever be world-class.

Arsenal recently announced the signing of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, and the Swiss international revealed in his first interview how he’s longed for a Premier League move to prove his worth in one of the biggest division in the world.

Arsenal have finalised a deal to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka for a fee believed to be around £30M. The Swiss international will wear the #34 shirt, previously held by Francis Coquelin, who will take the vacant #8 jersey after Mikel Arteta’s departure.
Xhaka’s contract will officially start from July, and he’ll join up with the Arsenal squad after this summer’s European Championships. According to Albanian TV reporter Artan Muhazxhiri, Borussia Mochengladback midfielder Granit Xhaka is close to signing for the Gunners this summer. The two parties have been linked together for well over a year, but there could be some movement ahead of the new Premier League season.
Muhaxhiri is said to be friends with Xhaka, and tweeted the following announcement on social media: “Just confirmed. Granit Xhaka is traveling to London to finalise an agreement with Arsenal FC! Although his future remains in doubt following another frustrating season with the Gunners, Arsene Wenger is tying up the first summer signing for Arsenal.
According to reports from the Bleacher Report, London-based club have agreed personal terms with Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka who looks set to become Arsenal’s firs major signing of the summer transfer window.

According to Sky Germany, Arsenal have agreed a fee of around £34million for Switzerland international Granit Xhaka.
The central midfielder has impressed immensely in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach and has been repeated linked with a move to a bigger club this summer. Arsenal have been one of the clubs constantly linked with the star.
