Arsenal improve bid for Tierney 0

Posted on July 14, 2019 by Veselin Trajkovic

Having seen their initial offer of £15 million rejected, Arsenal have made a second, a significantly improved one – £25 million, for Kieran Tierney, according to Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old Celtic fullback has been one of the targets the club seem to be aiming for most persistently for this summer’s transfer window, and rightly so, given the defensive woes that were plaguing Unai Emery’s team throughout last season.

Meanwhile, Tierney had problems of his own. His contribution to the Scottish champions was limited to just 21 league appearances due to a hernia problem. He has recently had surgery, and he is in the process of recovery at the moment. The report quotes Celtic boss Neil Lennon in revealing that the player still has the osteitis pubis problem, calling it “a slow burner, that one”.

It’s time to go, Laurent 0

There’s been a lot of speculation over who is going to leave Arsenal Football Club this summer, as you can probably imagine. The Gunners need to start getting the deadwood out of the club, and in place of that, bring in a series of stars that can try and push them into that all elusive top four.

Some of their current players are going to be in a better position than others to get the job done for them, but one man who is destined to leave this summer is Laurent Koscielny. As we’ve already noted, the supposed captain of Arsenal has refused to go on their tour of the United States. That, in itself, is more than enough to warrant his dismissal.

The intrigue of Dani Ceballos 0

We’re back with another rumour that is lingering around the Emirates like a bad smell, because you know, it’s transfer window season and that’s just what happens. This one really does seem to be a bit of a stretch, but hey, that’s the way of the game. The ‘rumour’ that we’re referring to links the Gunners to Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is said to be very interested in a move away from the club – but only on loan.

What would it take for Unai Emery to leave? 0

The future of Unai Emery is certainly an interesting topic for fans right now, even though he hasn’t actually begun his second season in charge of the club yet. There are still a few weeks remaining until the brand new domestic season gets underway, and as such, this period kind of feels like the calm before the storm. Of course, the lack of transfers isn’t helping with that, but we’ve got to try and be positive.

Koscielny refuses pre-season trip 0

Posted on July 11, 2019 by Veselin Trajkovic

Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel with the team for their pre-season tour in the United States of America, Arsenal have confirmed in an official statement.

Having started out at Guingamp, the club captain also played for Tours and Lorient before arriving to the Emirates in 2010. His impact in the team can be said to have been huge right from the start, as he made 43 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions in his first season. Overall, he has played 353 times in an Arsenal shirt and found the opposition net 27 times from his position as a centre-back. Apart from that, he also has 51 caps for France under his belt.

The Zaha chaos continues 0

There are a lot of times with Arsenal Football Club where it’s hard to keep up with proceedings – and even that may be an understatement. One minute we’re led to believe that things are going in on direction, and then the next, there’s a report out there that indicates the exact opposite. It’s because of this that we try not to get too excited about what’s to come, because there is often a sting in the tail waiting around the next corner.

Happy Birthday, Elneny! 0

The fascination and intrigue surrounding the summer transfer window is all well and good when your team is bringing in a whole host of high level stars, but for Arsenal, that doesn’t really seem to be the case right now. Instead, they’re kind of struggling to make much of a dent when it comes to bringing new guys into the fold, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, they’re struggling to keep hold of some of their biggest names – if the reports are to be believed, that is.

Arsenal loanee Jordi Osei-Tutu suffers racist abuse 0

Posted on July 10, 2019 by Veselin Trajkovic

Racism is currently one of the most glaring issues people around the globe are facing, and unfortunately, football isn’t immune to this disease. The Premier League witnessed a number of incidents involving that kind of disgusting behaviour last season, and not for the first time; not by a long shot.

But the fact that this problem isn’t contained within the boundaries of a country perhaps becomes slightly clearer after Arsenal loanee, 20-year-old defender Jordi Osei-Tutu suffered racial abuse in what was supposed to be a friendly game between VfL Bochum, the club he joined for a year, and Swiss side St Gallen.

Ozil heading to Turkey? 0

The rumour mill is up and running once more, and as we look ahead to the remainder of the summer transfer window, we’re intrigued by all of the possibilities that could come Arsenal’s way. Of course, you could argue that there just isn’t enough time for them to get done what many feel they need to get done in the window, but we trust in Unai Emery and what he’s trying to build at the club.

James Harden hangs out at Arsenal 0

The power of social media, and the power of branding, allows for partnerships in the world of sports that you would previously never think possible. As posted up by Arsenal on Twitter, a new partnership that seems to have developed recently comes courtesy of Adidas – with Houston Rockets star James Harden heading over to the Emirates in order to have some fun with youngster Reiss Nelson.
