When you’ve spent six years at any given football club, there’s a good chance that you’re going to have left your mark in that time – in one way or another. It doesn’t always necessarily have to have been in a positive manner, but the fans are going to have their opinion on you in some way, shape or form. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is one such individual, having spent six years between 2011 and 2017 competing for the Gunners.

Arsenal fans shouldn’t dwell on Oxlade-Chamberlain 0

On Wednesday night Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored an utterly remarkable goal for Liverpool as they ran out 3-0 winners over Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield. The goal, and the eventual victory means that the Reds are on the verge of reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-finals where they’ll likely come up against one of Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Sead Kolasinac should play at left wing-back for Arsenal 0

In a month where everything seemed to go wrong for Arsenal, summer signing Sead Kolasinac won the Gunners Player of the Month.

In truth, there were slim pickings among the Gunners players for the award. However, the former Schalke player managed to win the award, despite only playing in two of the team’s three league games this season.

The fans vote was maybe a vote of no confidence in the players that appeared in the 4-0 hammering at Liverpool, than a vote of confidence for the Bosnia and Herzegovina star.

Made a mixed start to his Arsenal career

For me, Arsenal losing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on deadline day to Liverpool was not a disaster. I just want to know why it took the two clubs until so late in the transfer window to agree a deal.

The midfielder never looked like signing a new deal in north London. If Arsenal would have sold him earlier in the summer, they could have brought a replacement in. However, this is Arsenal and nothing seems to happen the way it should.

Take for example Arsene Wenger team selection in recent weeks. At times Hector Bellerin has been playing as a left wing-back, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been playing on the opposite flank.

Arsenal unlikely to replace Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer 0

According to BBC Sport’s David Ornstein, Arsenal won’t sign a replacement for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain when the 24-year-old officially joins Liverpool, reports the Express.

Supporters will have been hoping the club had a contingency plan in mind when the English international made the move to Anfield, but it appears Arsenal don’t have the money.

It’s a big blow and is likely to further sour the mood among fans towards the board and manager as this summer’s transfer window hasn’t turned out as they’d liked.

Oxlade-Chamberlain turns down Chelsea proposal, stands at 1/2 to join Liverpool instead 0

Premier League champions Chelsea’s attempts to land the England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been given huge blow as Arsenal star refused a proposal to move to Stamford Bridge.

Even though Blues agreed a £35 million fee with Arsenal over a proposed transfer for the Gunners midfielder, Oxlade-Chamberlain is said to have refused a chance to become the Chelsea player in hope Liverpool will turn up with a bid before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.

The Reds have also been closely linked with a move for the 24-year-old footballer as Jurgen Klopp looks set to launch a late attack on the transfer market hoping to further bolster his ranks.

It was reported yesterday by the BBC, that Chelsea agreed a fee of around £35million with Arsenal for versatile England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 24-year-old is out of contract next summer and has reportedly refused a number of offers of a new deal in north London. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had previously insisted that Oxlade-Chamberlain was staying at the club.

However, his latest rejection of a new contract may just have persuaded the veteran French boss to part with the midfielder.

A mixed Arsenal career

No positives to take from Arsenal’s hammering at Liverpool 0

Arsenal’s 4-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday should not have surprised anybody really. For years Arsenal have produced the same sort of inept performances, no matter the opponents.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is taking a lot of stick at the moment. Yes, he made some frankly bizarre selection decisions and his man-management is questionable. Wenger signs the players and gives the players tactical instructions. He must take some of the blame.

However, the players must take a long hard look at themselves, simply because of a terrible attitude and almost disdain for the fans. The Gunners players have been accused of lacking bottle in the past and yesterday’s performance was simply spineless. However, Arsenal fans have seen it all before with the Gunners in recent years.

Jeff Stelling says Arsenal should sell these three players 1

Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has named three players he believes Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger should consider selling, in order to raise funds for signing in key areas.

Speaking to Sky Sports via the Express, Stelling named forward Alexis Sanchez, playmaker Mesut Ozil and midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in his list of players to be sold by Arsenal, the three players who have rejected terms on a new contract this summer and will be free transfers in less than 12 months’ time.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly rejected a new contract offer worth £180k-per-week, with Liverpool and Chelsea closely linked with his signature. The 24-year-old has made it clear that he wants out of Arsenal amid interest elsewhere, but the Gunners are digging their heels in on a transfer.

Manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear he will not sell Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, despite his contract having less than 12 months to run, and would instead try to convince the former Southampton man to commit his future with a deal nearly three times his existing salary.
