North London derby dates scheduled
While all 38 fixtures are going to be key for Arsenal Football Club in their upcoming Premier League campaign, and while we agree that you have to play all 19 other teams twice at some point anyway, it’s always important to get the North London derby in the calendar.
Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur is one of the most bitter rivalries at the elite level in English football and this past season, it was crucial once again as Spurs pipped the Gunners to fourth spot – ensuring Mikel Arteta’s men would be playing in the Europa League as opposed to the Champions League.
Their first chance for revenge won’t come in the first few games of the season, as has been the case historically, with fans having to wait until October 1st before the Spurs meeting occurs at the Emirates.
The reverse fixture won’t come too much later on January 14th in an away clash, meaning they won’t play one another in the lead-up to the final stretch.
Gear up, folks, because the dates are set, and there’s going to be just as much bad blood as there always is between these two rivals.
How important is it that Arsenal get the better of Tottenham this season?
