French media outlet Le 10 Sport has learned that Ligue 1 side Lille have expressed their interest in Arsenal forward Yaya Sanogo, who could again be leaving the Emirates on loan this summer.
Les Dogues recently recruited Herve Renard, one of Europe’s most talented coaches, and they have big ambitions ahead of the 2015/2016 campaign.
With Nolan Roux expected to leave, Lille hope to sign one or two centre forwards in the summer transfer window. And with their top target Jordan Ayew not available for sale, they appear to have turned their attention towards Yaya Sanogo.
The Ligue 1 side hope to sign the Frenchman on a season-long loan and Arsenal could be interested in such an arrangement seeing as the talented forward desperately needs regular playing time.
That was the main reason why the 22-year-old was allowed to join Crystal Palace in January, but the spell was far from successful, with Sanogo starting mere three Premier League fixtures, while making another seven substitute appearances, failing to score a single goal in the process.
A move to French Ligue 1 could prove to be a good decision given that the forward will be under less pressure away from the spotlights of English Premiership and Arsene Wenger should definitely let him leave as there is little chance he would be used at the Emirates next summer.
