Arsenal are having an extremely busy period at the moment, being involved in the Carabao Cup final against MAnchester City and a two-leg Europa League fixture against AC Milan, and the injuries that are plaguing them are extremely unfortunate, if maybe not as much unexpected.
Arsene Wenger revealed that Alexandre Lacazette, who needed a quick surgery on his knee after the North-London Derby, has started training again, but he has ruled out the striker’s return before this month ends. His absence is definitely most felt in the Europa League where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is cup-tied this season.
Left-back Sead Kolasinac is suffering from a slight problem with his ankle, but the manager is was reluctant to rule him out for the clash against Watford on Sunday.
Defender Callum Chambers got a cramp against AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza, and Wenger has put it down to playing in the right-back position which is not his speciality as a centre-back. He should be ready to play on Sunday.
The man who is a right-back by default, Hector Bellerin, has been definitely ruled out of the league game on Sunday, but the manager cannot reveal more at this point. The date of his return hasn’t been set yet.
Nacho Monreal, who had been on excellent form prior to his injury, is on a good way but the game against Watford will come too soon for him to take part. However, he is expected to be ready to play on Thursday in the second leg against AC Milan at the Emirates.
The game against Watford is being played at the Emirates on Sunday, at 1:30 PM BST, and the Gunners can be backed at 1/2 to win.
