St Totteringham’s Day has been cancelled.
For yet another year, Arsenal have failed to finish above Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, inviting a parade of questions regarding their ability to actually dethrone Spurs as the dominant force in North London. We already saw Jose Mourinho’s men win the derby a few weeks ago, and while the Gunners have certainly been making progress under Mikel Arteta, the inconsistency that they’ve shown along the way has been alarming, to say the least.
Given how poor Tottenham have been throughout the course of the campaign, you’d have to think this is a real low point for Arsenal – but it should also serve as real motivation.
It’s a small point to make, but the club has to strive for making sure we can celebrate this day for the first time in what feels like forever when the 2020/21 season is all said and done.
What do Arsenal need to do in order to reclaim North London?
