It’s been a strong international break thus far when it comes to Arsenal representation with eleven different Gunners players taking to the pitch for their respective nations, and that trend will continue throughout the course of the weekend. However, when you take a step back and look at what’s happening around the world due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it quickly becomes clear that football isn’t really all that important in the grand scheme of things.
The beautiful game will always be there but with lockdown restrictions being threatened across the United Kingdom heading into next week, our advice would be to relax, sit back, and enjoy your weekend however you so please. We aren’t suggesting that you go out and spread the virus like an absolute fool because that isn’t going to help anyone. What we are saying, though, is that there’s more to life than football and something like this does help to provide us with a dose of perspective.
Arsenal are going to be back in action before we know it but before then, and before the impending restrictions that come next week, take a minute to reflect on just how lucky we all are.
