West Ham newly-appointed manager David Moyes is looking to further strengthen the Hammers squad during the January transfer window in order to boost his survival chances.
Having invested a good load of money on new signings during summer and despite boosting the squad by the likes of Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic, West Ham have endured a difficult start to new Premier League season.
The club hierarchy decided to part ways with Slaven Bilic and appoint former Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland manager David Moyes, who managed to tighten up his side and make Hammers a more organized defensively.
Moyes registered a huge victory last weekend – his first as West Ham boss – beating Premier League champions Chelsea and is keen to use the momentum to take another huge scalp against the Gunners tonight.
Ahead of the London tussle Moyes is, however, already looking forward the winter market when he is expected to pounce for Arsenal midfielder jack Wilshere.
“Jack Wilshere would be someone who’d we have to look at if he was available.”, Moyes said, also expressing interest in Arsenal out-of-sorts striker Olivier Giroud.
“”I think if there’s players like that [Giroud] available I’d have to be interested. We’ve got a lot of strikers so I think for us to be linked to a lot of strikers at the moment might not necessarily be the right thing. But who knows? I think Olivier Giroud is a talented footballer and has a record of scoring goals.”, the Scott added.
Arsenal can be found at whopping 25/1 to win at West Ham tonight.
