Can Arsenal end a 10-year wait for a league win at Old Trafford?

Posted on November 16, 2016 by Crippy Cooke

Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face old adversaries Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, in a game that many believe the Gunners can take all three points from.

However, in addition to Arsene Wenger keen to end a winless league head-to-head record against Jose Mourinho, Arsenal have a 10-year winless run at Old Trafford to turn around.

Since 2006’s 1-0 win away to Manchester United, Arsenal haven’t beaten United in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

Past meetings between Man Utd/Arsenal at Old Trafford since 2006
(13/4/08) Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal
(16/5/09) Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal
(29/8/09) Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal
(13/12/10) Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
(28/8/11) Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal
(3/11/12) Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal
(10/11/13) Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
(17/5/15) Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal
(28/2/16) Manchester United 3-2 Arsenal

Arsenal have picked up just two points at Old Trafford in the last decade ahead of this weekend’s Premier League meeting which doesn’t make for good reading.

But with the Gunners boasting four consecutive away wins in the division compared to Manchester United’s one win in four home games, many believe the tide could be changing.

A long-awaited victory for the Gunners at Old Trafford could see them go top of the Premier League table if other results go their way, but United can only finish the weeknd fifth at best by comparison.

Arsenal are 9/5 to win against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon. Can the Gunners finally end the 10-year wait?
