Fans have been asking a string of questions in regards to the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubaemyang in recent months, and we haven’t really had all too many answers. We probably shouldn’t be surprised by that considering how hectic the end of the campaign has been, but now, it appears as if we’re edging closer and closer towards getting a definitive answer one way or the other.
As reported by The Telegraph, it seems as if the Gunners are closing in on a new three-year deal for the popular forward. Nobody really knows whether or not this is entirely accurate, but based on what we know up to this point, fans can be forgiven for getting a little bit excited.
While the upcoming season may not live or die based on whether or not the Gabon international is on the books, but his impact simply cannot be denied or downplayed. He has scored some of the most important goals of the last few years for the club, and if he wasn’t there to do that, things might have easily been worse than what we got during the last few months.
People will point towards Lacazette, or the rise of Martinelli and Saka, but Aubameyang is able to completely change a game on his own – and that’s a trait very few players have in world football, let alone at the Emirates.
