Arsene Wenger has revealed the price he would expect for defender Rob Holding after there has been reported interest in the defender from fellow Premier League outfits.
Arsenal returned to winning ways with a superb performance on Saturday as they blew Everton away in a 5-1 win. The Toffees could not keep up with their London opponents as Arsene Wenger was able to oversee an outstanding performance.
Aaron Ramsey bagged himself a hat-trick while Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang completed the scoring. Aubameyang will have been hugely relieved to open his Arsenal account at the first time of asking, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan was outstanding as he picked up a number of assists.
Wenger will of course be disappointed to have seen his side concede, while the injury Petr Cech sustained will also be a worry. The win means that the London side have closed the gap between themselves and Tottenham to just three points, although Spurs have a game in hand over the Gunners.
However, what was most important was to return to winning ways after their damaging loss at the hands of Swansea which is exactly what they did with a superb team performance. One man that did not play any part in the win was Rob Holding. The defender has found his game time curtailed this season and The Sun have reported that the Gunners are looking for around £15 million for the player following interest from Burnley.
Arsenal’s defence has been the subject of a lot of criticism recently and they may be looking for a complete overhaul in the summer, and perhaps the price-tag they have reportedly put on Holding will be the start of a clearout in the summer.
