Brazilian forward Malcom has emerged as somewhat a surprising option to potentially replace Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal.
The Chilean star looks set to leave Gunners this month with both Manchester City and Manchester United vying for his services and Arsenal are said to have already made firm moves in an effort to secure their position in case Sanchez leaves in January.
Sky Italia report that north London side have entered the race to sign Bordeaux forward Malcom, who is also wanted by a host of high-profile clubs including Manchester United, Tottenham and Bayern Munich.
French club Bordeaux value their prized asset at over £40 million but Arsenal were not deterred by such a steep asking price and are said to have already scheduled a meeting with Bordeaux to discuss a potential move for the Brazilian talent.
The 20-year-old forward is an exciting talent who can play in a number of position in the final third. This left-footed attacker could be a direct replacement for Sanchez thanks to his versatility and ability to adapt to any role in the front line.
Malcom revealed on social media last week that he was learning English which was more than enough to suggest he could be set for a January move to England.
Manchester United are the first English side to be linked with a move for Malcom although Arsenal’s fierce rivals Tottenham have also expressed interest.
