Portuguese media outlet O Jogo understands that Arsenal had scouts present at the Benfica v Porto game at Estadio da Luz as they ran the rule on three Primeira Liga stars.
The arch rivals were involved in a potential title decider last night and leaders Benfica edged one step closer to the title with a goalless draw, with the stands packed with visiting scouts making a check on star players from both sides.
According to O Jogo, Premier League giants Arsenal were also represented at Estadio da Luz as their scouts took a closer look at the likes of Yacine Brahimi, Talisca and Jackson Martinez.
It is no secret that the Gunners are in the market for summer reinforcements as they hope to build on some impressive showings in the second part of the season and finally mount a serious Premier League title challenge next term.
Arsene Wenger had earlier admitted his interest in Porto striker Jackson Martinez, who is almost certain to leave the Eagles at the end of the season, but it remains whether Arsenal will be prepared to splash out on the Colombian.
Meanwhile, attacking midfielders Yacine Brahimi and Talisca enjoyed perfect starts to their careers in Portugal and they, too, appear to be on the manager’s radar at the moment.
