French media is reporting that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, who is being heavily linked with a summer exit.
The Gunners are on the verge of completing deals for Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez and Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, but it looks as though Arsene Wenger could add at least one more player to his ranks before the summer transfer window closes.
Namely, the latest reports suggest that Arsenal are showing interest in Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, who recently rejected approaches from both Everton and West Ham.
The 24-year-old has entered the final year of his deal at Parc OL and should be available for some £9 million, as talks over a new contract are not progressing according to plan.
However, Ghezzal does not seem to be too keen on leaving les Gones, with the club having been moving in the right direction of late, although it remains to be seen whether the reported interest from Arsenal will make him change his mind.
The talented footballer has managed a total of 11 goals and 13 assists in 81 competitive appearances for Lyon, and he has been at the club since 1997.
Ghezzal decided to switch his allegiance to Algeria after representing France Under-20 side, and that proved a very good decision as he went on to score 5 goals in first 6 appearances for Les Fennecs.
